Bolan

Bolan is the dominant prodigy of Luo Feng's genius-battle generation. His extraordinary grasp of space law makes him the tournament's undisputed winner, but his early insistence on mastering both space and time slows his development until competition forces him to revise his path.

Biography

The genius everyone expected to win

Bolan enters the final stages of the genius battle already known as “Death God,” with no serious dispute over his position as number one. In the training towers he creates more than one hundred spatial images, displays a level of the 10,000 Threads movement far beyond the other contestants, and advances an entire tower ahead of the field. Even in the seventh tower, where he finally falls after killing 5,612 mammoths, his result leaves the other geniuses competing for places below him rather than expecting to overtake him. That reputation survives the direct tournament. Bolan's speed and blade work defeat each assigned opponent, including the highly regarded Rong Jun, and he wins the competition without controversy. The Virtual Universe Company had made an additional Primal Region place available because his talent was so exceptional, and the victory places him in that highest training region. His initial situation is therefore one of nearly universal confirmation: peers, undyings, and organizers all treat his gift as a rare standard against which the rest of the generation is measured. Pride, failure, and a revised path

Inside the company, Bolan chooses the Universe Primal Chaos Tablet, attempting to develop space and time law together even though senior instructors advise him to concentrate on space. When Luo Feng passes the sixth level of the Heavenly Bridge, Bolan immediately challenges the seventh. His space-law understanding is already close to the ninth-level standard, but his time comprehension lags around the third or fourth; the imbalance lets the guardian defeat him in a single move. Watchman Bevin identifies the deeper problem as pride: Bolan has selected the most difficult path because previous success taught him to trust his own choice over expert warning. (Chapters 517–518)

The setback does not produce an instant correction. Bolan continues to fail the seventh bridge for decades while Luo Feng catches and surpasses him, giving the comparison a consequence that private advice had not achieved. He eventually admits to his teacher that he was overconfident and changes his plan, making space law primary and time secondary. The choice is not an abandonment of ambition; it is a more workable route that lets his strongest talent lead his progress. His improvement then accelerates, and he passes the eighth bridge even as Luo Feng moves much farther ahead. (Chapters 529, 541, 544, 546, 549, and 732)

Long pursuit beyond the early rankings

Thousands of years later, Bolan is a Primal Region sector lord and meets Rong Jun and Wuka to discuss Luo Feng's conquest of the sector-lord Primal Sky Mountain. He is no longer the isolated youth who assumed first place would persist automatically. He and Rong Jun conclude that only becoming universe knights could give them any chance to surpass Luo Feng, while Wuka sets the nearer goal of becoming an emperor. Their toast turns rivalry into a shared commitment, and the narration explicitly credits Bolan's earlier revision for allowing his rare genius to show itself again. (Chapter 905)

Across the following six trillion eras, Bolan continues far beyond that sector-lord stage and finally becomes a Universe Master. He does not overtake Luo Feng, whose development leaves their entire generation behind, but the result vindicates the decision to correct his training rather than cling to the path that had stalled him. The final account lists him among the surviving great beings of his batch and gives no later death or loss of rank. (Chapter 1485)

Appearance and personality

Bolan is a handsome young man dressed in white when introduced, with a cold, expressionless manner and two blood-red blades. He spends much of his early company life in solitude and speaks little, though classmates who interact with him judge his character decent rather than hostile. His defining flaw is initially pride, not cruelty: repeated success makes him resistant to instruction. His later admission of error and sustained progress show that he can revise a deeply held decision when evidence finally defeats it. (Chapters 423, 446, 549, and 905)

Space law and 10,000 Threads

Bolan's foundational talent is space law. During the genius battle he produces more than one hundred spatial images, placing his 10,000 Threads movement at a level none of his peers can match. The technique makes his speed and attack position difficult to follow and supports his rapid blade kills. The corpus demonstrates the images and their competitive effect but does not describe a separate energy cost or duration. His later bridge progress and ultimate Universe Master rank show continued mastery, although the final chapter does not specify his precise late-era techniques. Space-time study and its limitation

The Universe Tablet route allows Bolan to study space and time together. Early on, however, his space understanding vastly exceeds his time understanding, and trying to advance both causes the whole path to stall. The seventh-bridge guardian exploits that uneven foundation and defeats him immediately. Bolan's solution is to prioritize space while treating time as secondary, after which his rate of progress rises sharply. This is a developmental correction in emphasis rather than evidence that he loses access to time-law study. (Chapters 517–518 and 549)

Blade combat

Bolan fights with two long, blood-red blades. His law-driven movement lets him reach opponents from numerous apparent positions, and the genius battle establishes that his attacks are fast and vicious enough to overwhelm every direct tournament opponent. The blades are not given individual names or a documented later upgrade, so their exact grade and continued use at Universe Master rank remain unknown. (Chapters 423–425 and 436–439)

Relationships

• Luo Feng: Luo Feng changes from a distant lower-ranked peer into the rival whose bridge progress exposes Bolan's mistaken training choice. Bolan never surpasses him, but the comparison helps drive his revision and continued advancement.
• Rong Jun: Bolan defeats Rong Jun in the genius battle. Much later they are fellow Primal Region sector lords and share the goal of reaching universe-knight rank; both eventually become Universe Masters.
• Wuka: Wuka is a member of the same generation and hosts the later gathering where the three reaffirm their ambitions.
• Watchman Bevin: The Heavenly Bridge watchman explains that Bolan's pride and choice of the most difficult tablet path, rather than lack of talent, are obstructing him.
