Black Butcher
Black Butcher is the corpulent owner and chef of Huyang City's Fire Realm Restaurant. A reincarnation-cycle traveler who builds a livelihood without combat or aristocratic backing, he turns culinary cultivation into both an Eternal True God path and an opportunity to enter Princess Yushui Tianyu's household. (Chapters 1499, 1566, and 1682)
Biography
From butcher to royal chef
Black Butcher begins as a culinary-path True God in his home Primordial Cosmos, but finds that cooking alone cannot establish him in the Land of Origin. He spends fifty thousand eras slaughtering exotic beasts and learning their materials before opening the Fire Realm Restaurant, hoping its income will buy resources for an Eternal True God breakthrough. He avoids wilderness adventure as too dangerous, cultivates disciples such as Suo Zi, and wins recurring support from Luo Feng and Morosa. By the time Yushui Tianyu visits, he has indeed become the only Eternal True God in Huyang City known to advance through culinary arts. (Chapters 1499, 1520, and 1566)
The princess enjoys his banquet and invites him to serve at her Royal Capital residence. Black Butcher accepts both for the honor and to escape the growing border war, bringing Suo Zi with him. Much later the Monarch of Yu Country selects the pair as familiar faces when visiting Luo Feng after his Godly King breakthrough. Black Butcher returns nervously to the city where he once struggled, learns how far his former patron has risen, and again guides the group to food and drink. (Chapters 1566–1577 and 1681–1682)
Appearance and personality
Black Butcher is a corpulent man. He is hospitable, commercially ambitious, cautious about mortal danger, and modest about techniques that he created without a great inheritance. He also invests patiently in disciples and readily recognizes opportunities that offer safety and advancement. (Chapters 1499, 1520, and 1566)
Abilities and cultivation
- He reaches Eternal True God through a culinary path requiring precise coordination of divine power and spiritual will. His food can affect both body and spirit, though no permanent cultivation gain is established. (Chapters 1499, 1520, and 1566)
- His signature Fire Realm Feast produces the sensation of swallowing a world of flame and being renewed. He develops it through long study of exotic-beast ingredients rather than a named inherited recipe. (Chapter 1499)
- He is not shown fighting, and his unwillingness to adventure distinguishes his accumulation method from combat-oriented Eternal True Gods. (Chapter 1499)
Relationships
- Luo Feng: High-status patron whose repeated support raises the restaurant's reputation and leads indirectly to Black Butcher's royal appointment. (Chapters 1499, 1566, and 1682)
- Suo Zi: Disciple who studies his culinary art and accompanies him into royal service. (Chapters 1520, 1577, and 1682)
Items
- Fire Realm Restaurant: His painstakingly built Huyang establishment and the base of his culinary school before he moves to the Royal Capital. (Chapters 1499–1520)
