Ao Gu

Ao Gu is a Star level 9 spirit reader purchased by Luo Feng to protect the Earth fighters during the World of Thunder expedition. His control abilities, surveillance support, and willingness to absorb danger make him a critical part of the team even though his loyalty originates in enslavement.

Biography

Bodyguard in the World of Thunder

Luo Feng brings Ao Gu and Tie Nan He into the World of Thunder because the three Earth-born fighters cannot yet repel experienced Star level 9 robbers alone. Ao Gu accepts the role of bodyguard, helps maintain watch, and receives a flying spirit weapon from Luo Feng. His presence lets the group pursue universe crystals and central treasures rather than avoiding every stronger expedition team. (Chapters 326–331)

Ao Gu's spirit-reader control becomes one of the expedition's strongest practical tools. He extends psychic force through hostile environmental pressure, combines a hybrid copper shard with his Star level 9 power, and creates barriers that prevent nearby groups from overhearing. Those capabilities contribute to the team's rapid accumulation of universe crystals and its ability to move secretly among competing alliances. (Chapters 334–351)

The risks remain real. Ao Gu is badly injured during the struggle for the central treasures but survives and continues following Luo Feng's planned escape route. He later returns with the group to Luo Feng's family home. The last genuine appearance is Chapter 370; the phrase “Ao Gu Si planet” in Chapter 555 is an unrelated place name, not this character, so no later company-era arc or rank progression is established. Appearance and personality

Ao Gu has dark-red hair. After being wounded, his hair is disordered and his face pale. He is consistently respectful toward Luo Feng and cooperative with Hong, Thunder God, and Tie Nan He, but the source does not establish how he would act without the coercive conditions of purchased service. Ao Gu is a Star level 9 spirit reader.
