Cosmocraft

Cosmocraft is the Dwarven-designed class of vessel that allows Yrniel's cultivators to travel and live in outer space. The narrative follows more than one advanced Cosmocraft, chiefly Vyriana's compact craft and a separate vessel Aeliana gives Nux; later references should therefore not be read as a continuous history of one uniquely named ship.

History

Vyriana's outer-space vessel

Vyriana introduces her Cosmocraft when she takes Nux and his family on their first campaign beyond Yrniel. Her masters gave her this advanced compact variant, and she regularly uses it while exploring outer space. The vessel turns a four-year crossing into a survivable expedition by maintaining world-like living conditions while Vyriana supplies Mana and monitors a mapped safe route. Nux proposes leaving it unattended while the party uses faster internal time, but Vyriana refuses: capture could cost them the vessel and expose a trail back toward Yrniel. Near their target, Nux stores the craft in his ring because its concealment is not strong enough to approach alerted forces unnoticed. (Chapters 1509–1517)

The same expedition establishes the vessel as more than transport. Its cabin becomes a planning and cultivation space, its automatic navigation lets the group wait through long journeys, and its saved coordinates guide their return to the sector. Nux later takes the controls and uses his unusually large energy supply to accelerate the craft sharply while the family moves between targeted worlds. These operations make the Cosmocraft the practical base from which the Leanders study and invade worlds, but the vessel does not provide Nux's portals, concealment, or control of Universal Energy; those remain his own abilities. Nux's later craft and family voyages

Aeliana later gives Nux another Cosmocraft personally made by the Dwarven Progenitors. Its scalable propulsion pairs with his extreme energy reserve, allowing him and his wives to complete missions whose travel alone would normally take days or months. He still avoids using a recognizable Cosmocraft for the Umbrasol operation, borrowing an unrelated spaceship because he does not want even a theoretical association with Yrniel or his wives. That decision shows that speed and concealment do not remove strategic traceability concerns. (Chapters 1694–1739)

Cosmocrafts continue to carry members of the family on later expeditions, including Riona and Lyriana's departure from Yrniel. The packets do not identify whether that vessel is Vyriana's, Nux's, or another craft, and no final transfer or destruction is recorded. The latest supported state is therefore a functioning family-accessible class of vessel rather than one ship with a single settled custodian. (Chapters 1799 and 1972–1973)

Abilities and properties

• Cosmocrafts maintain habitable internal conditions despite the lack of air and other hazards of outer space. This life-support function belongs to the vessel; resistance to Universal Energy after disembarking does not. (Chapters 1509–1512)
• Vyriana gives one light-year per week as the baseline speed of her advanced compact model. It can navigate automatically and record coordinates, but ordinary travel remains restricted to explored safe paths because space contains unmapped dangers. (Chapters 1509 and 1639)
• Vyriana's model can attack, defend, and conceal itself to a limited degree. The packet does not show those combat systems deciding a battle, and its concealment is explicitly inadequate close to an alerted enemy force. (Chapters 1509–1512)
• Propulsion requires supplied energy. Vyriana normally links her Mana to her craft and must recover after a long crossing; Mana Stones are a possible reserve. Nux's later Dwarven-Progenitor-made model increases speed in proportion to the energy infused without overloading, making it exceptionally fast in his hands rather than inherently limitless. • A Cosmocraft can serve as a marked destination for Nux's Core portals and can be stored in his ring. Those two functions come from Nux's abilities and storage, not from the craft itself. (Chapters 1509–1512)

Ownership and custody
