Razor

Razor Skadi is a King Stage operative whom Riona maneuvers the Skadi king into sending toward Skyfall. He and Vloyd believe they are supporting Prince Raguel, only to discover that they have been deliberately placed in the path of Nux and his allies.

Biography

A disposable reinforcement

Riona asks Eardwolf to send either Razor or Vloyd to Skyfall, choosing men loyal to the king rather than to her. Eardwolf believes that sending both will secure his own credit. The mission is actually part of Riona's effort to remove hostile Kings while reinforcing Evane's seizure of power. Razor enters the operation without knowing that his own queen has selected him as expendable. (Chapters 486–487)

Razor observes Nux's group and retreats to the other Skadi and Skyfall Kings, only to learn that Nux saw him the entire time. Once Evane explains Riona's likely reasoning, Razor understands that his bad relationship with the effective ruler made him a sacrifice. Nux offers no release, and Razor tries to buy Vloyd time by provoking him into a prolonged punishment. (Chapters 491–493)

The delay fails because Ember captures Vloyd and brings him back. Nux slices off Razor's lower leg before Razor can devise another escape. Ember describes him as having chosen a particularly bad way to die, but the chapter leaves him alive and screaming when attention moves elsewhere. His eventual death, recovery, or imprisonment is not shown. (Chapter 493)

Appearance and personality

Razor is a man dressed in black covert clothing. The supplied chapters do not give stable details for his face, hair, build, armor, or weapons. (Chapter 491)

He is wary enough to scout and loyal enough to help Vloyd escape, but not perceptive enough to recognize Riona's trap before reaching Skyfall. Under capture he uses defiance as a delaying tactic rather than expecting to defeat Nux. (Chapters 491–493)

Razor is a King Stage cultivator trained in covert observation and withdrawal. Nux detects him immediately, so the scene does not establish a named concealment technique or its normal effectiveness.
