Atticus

Atticus Fundra is the ninth son of Edge Clan leader Verele Fundra. His attempt to provoke a duel with a disguised Nux escalates into a contract against him, and his sealed-room assassination becomes the pretext for Edge Clan to confront ExceedoGenesis's Assassin Hall.

Biography

A protected heir becomes a contract target

Atticus enters as a seventy-year-old young master accompanied by the guard Zypher, whose fear of Verele makes protecting the impulsive heir a matter of survival. Edge Clan's Saint leader and Semi-Saint force give Atticus confidence that ordinary rivals cannot answer his provocations. (Chapters 873–874)

Atticus is later killed inside a closed room by an assassin tied to ExceedoGenesis. The corpus does not show the strike itself, instead following the political pursuit afterward. Edge Clan demands an admission so it can justify retaliation and treats the assassin's concealment as proof of responsibility. (Chapters 883–884)

At the confrontation, Atticus's mother demands the murderer's death while Alistair argues that killing a contract assassin will not identify the employer or restore her son. He chooses to take the assassin's rare ability instead, subordinating familial vengeance to clan gain. Atticus remains dead, and the employer behind his contract is the more consequential unresolved actor in his brief arc. (Chapter 886)

Appearance and personality

The corpus identifies Atticus as a seventy-year-old male clan heir but gives no stable facial, hair, clothing, height, or build description. (Chapter 873)

He is portrayed through his guard as impulsive and insufficiently aware of danger. Because his death occurs off-page, the supplied evidence does not support a fuller personality judgment. (Chapters 873–874)

Abilities and cultivation

Atticus belongs to a powerful High-Level Clan, but his personal cultivation stage, Law, weapons, and techniques are not stated in the selected appearances. His father's Saint cultivation and the clan's Semi-Saints should not be assigned to him. (Chapters 873–886)

Relationships

  • Verele Fundra: Atticus's father and the Saint leader of Edge Clan. Verele's reputation is the deterrent that makes Zypher fear failing his son. (Chapters 873–874)
  • Zypher: Atticus's protector, who sees the heir's recklessness and expects Verele to punish him if Atticus is harmed. (Chapter 873)
  • Alistair: Atticus's maternal uncle prioritizes acquiring the assassin's ability over immediate execution, arguing that the hired killer is not the true culprit. (Chapter 886)
  • Atticus's mother: She rejects Alistair's bargain and demands direct vengeance for her child. (Chapter 886)
