Archon

Archon Sarovan is the Eternal ruler of the High-Level World Sarovan and an enthusiastic enforcer of the Supreme World of Light's system. His defeat, extracted confession, and disappearance become the model for Nux's campaign to expose and remove Light-aligned rulers.

Biography

Power through submission to Light

Archon ruled Sarovan absolutely for millions of years. His only prior surrender came when Light's forces entered his world with multiple Eternals; he submitted immediately, received the Power of Light, and regarded the exchange of loyalty for protection and status as a triumph. He subsequently converted weaker worlds, extracted their resources, suppressed resistance, and presented the results as holy service. (Chapters 2270 and 2273–2274)

His rule depended on maintaining the appearance of perfect loyalty. Memories later show him erasing a district whose starving inhabitants refused an oath, manipulating records and memories around other victims, and sending Light detailed reports. Light's agents knew of the coercion and advised him to keep it clean and righteous-looking. This later evidence recasts Sarovan's visible peace as the product of organized violence rather than benevolent order. (Chapters 2273–2274)

Defeat, confession, and captivity

Nux enters Sarovan without alerting its World Will and challenges Archon directly. Archon attacks, but his Light techniques are stopped, redirected, or evaded. Once he realizes Nux has Eternal allies and has neutralized an emergency beacon, the pride of an absolute ruler collapses into the same pragmatic fear that prompted his surrender to Light. Nux's Domain prevents escape, and Sarovan is devoured. (Chapters 2270–2272)

Nux reads Archon's memories through an external monument, confronts him with roughly one hundred twenty million victims, and tortures his separated soul with thousands of needles until he confesses. Archon admits that he acted for power and that Light knowingly benefited, then declares Sarovan a legitimate target under that logic. Nux sends both body and soul to an undisclosed place to serve a promised, immensely long punishment. Archon is therefore captive rather than confirmed dead; recordings of his confession continue shaping the wider war after his removal. (Chapters 2273–2276)

Appearance and personality

Archon is a tall Sephkin with white-gold eyes, a thin halo-ring behind his head, and wings formed from layered plates of shining crystal rather than feathers. In ceremonial memories he wears a crown and immaculate robe. (Chapters 2270 and 2273)

He is proud, authoritarian, image-conscious, and quick to translate submission into virtue when it benefits him. He is also tactically pragmatic: his flashy attacks conceal an attempt to summon Light, and he abandons pride when multiple Eternals appear likely. Under torture, self-preservation replaces loyalty and he exposes the system he once defended. (Chapters 2270–2274)

Abilities and cultivation

Granted Power of Light

Archon receives the Power of Light after surrendering Sarovan to Light's faction. He forms six spear-like rays that divide into thousands of targeting knives, shields capable of stopping their reflected force, explosive shockwaves, and a forearm blade strong enough to cut worlds and destabilize space. He can also move in flashes of Light. The corpus does not name a personal Law or separate innate Sephkin techniques from powers granted through the faction. (Chapters 2270–2271)

His large-scale Judgment technique forms a seal across Sarovan's sky and commands its Will to rain columns of holy fire. This home-world interaction supports the statement that he is absolute within Sarovan, but it still fails to touch Nux. Nux counters his projectiles through superior control, uses illusions or displaced bodies to evade the blade, and overwhelms him inside a stronger Domain. The exact energy costs and duration of Archon's techniques are unknown. (Chapters 2270–2272)

Eternal cultivation and limits

Archon is an Eternal but is not regarded as exceptional among that stage. He can sense sealed space, connect to Sarovan's Will, and attempt to form a Domain. His critical limit is numerical and psychological: he surrendered to three Light Eternals in the past and loses confidence when he believes Nux likewise brought Eternal reinforcements. Once captured and separated into soul form, he demonstrates no ability to escape Nux's restraints or resist the mind-reading artifact. (Chapters 2270–2274)

Relationships

• Nux: Nux selects Archon as both military target and public example. He defeats him, exposes his memories, extracts a confession, and removes his body and soul for punishment. (Chapters 2270–2276)
• Seraphielle and Light: Archon gains protection and Light power through loyal service to the faction. His confession states that Light knew of and advised his coercive campaigns, after which Nux uses him to threaten Seraphielle directly. (Chapters 2270 and 2273–2275)

Items

Archon carries a small golden emergency beacon intended to summon Light forces when crushed. Nux takes it through spatial control before Archon can activate it. Archon's crown and robe are ceremonial, while the memory-reading monument used against him belongs to Nux rather than to Archon's inventory. (Chapters 2271–2273)
