Elysium Grand Compendium

The Elysium Grand Compendium is Lux's Mythical information repository, combining a world reference, appraisal aid, and exploration interface that helps compensate for his lack of inherited knowledge about Elysium.

History

A guide to Elysium

Lux receives the Compendium from his first golden gacha draw. Its initial catalog covers monster drops and locations, treasure chests, herbs, metals, gems, miscellaneous materials, settlement management, and introductory crafting disciplines. Eriol calls it comparable to a walkthrough and warns that others would try to seize it if its existence became known, although its soulbound state prevents ordinary ownership transfer. (Chapter 8)

Integration with the Soul Book

After merging with Lux's Soul Book, the Compendium supplies automatic appraisal, maps, quest locations, and search functions. Its dungeon map detects enemies within one hundred meters even in unexplored terrain, but unexplored areas otherwise remain blank, and its hidden-quest locations do not reveal whether another party already completed the quest. Lux later uses its search function to identify Agartha and repeatedly consults it when evaluating items and materials. (Chapters 97, 114, 297)

Abilities and properties

  • Stores extensive reference information on Elysium's creatures, resources, treasures, settlements, crafting, alchemy, and blacksmithing. (Chapter 8)
  • Its merged auto-mode provides appraisal, searchable records, maps, and quest markers. (Chapters 97, 297)
  • Detects nearby enemies within one hundred meters, including in locally unmapped dungeon terrain. (Chapter 97)
  • Information is not omniscience: blank geography must still be explored, and a marker does not confirm a quest's current completion state. (Chapter 97)
