Yillinarena

Biography

Rakaren Invasion and the Spire of Blood

Yillinarena rules the Auqualian Trade Union when Theodore Waltz's coalition moves against the Cult-backed powers around Rakaren. She owes the Cult of the Unblinking Eye for the pill that raised her to Sorcerer and initially fights for it, but her loyalty is openly transactional: she offers to switch sides if Theo can promise Demigod advancement. Theo denies her the sea's advantage by forcing the fight onto rocky inland ground, defeats her, and places her in a zeal-restricting collar. (Chapters 238–239)

The Cult, Counterparts, and Immortal Ascension

Yillinarena loses her old sovereignty as Hearthwood takes over administration of Auqualian territory. She remains a willing captive and vassal leader who repeatedly seeks Theo's help with advancement. The Cult's pill may have damaged her future prospects, and Theo continues to distrust the self-interest behind her eager service. She is still a Sorcerer in her latest appearance. (Chapters 280, 322, 324, 326, 331, 338, 359, 380, 396, 438)

Appearance and personality

Yillinarena is slim and blue-haired; the silver at her hair tips is attributed to aging before she reached Sorcerer. She is cautious, politically adaptable, and explicit about exchanging loyalty for advancement. Those traits help her survive conquest but also keep her motives under suspicion. (Chapters 238–239, 438)

Abilities and cultivation

At level 40, Yillinarena is an Early Sorcerer specializing in water. She glides rapidly across the sea, launches water blasts and geysers, and can transform her body into water to evade a collar. Her power and mobility are strongest near open water; inland terrain and Theo's superior force remove that advantage. She remains a Sorcerer, with further advancement uncertain after using the Cult's pill. (Chapters 238–239, 438)

Relationships

  • Theodore Waltz: Yillinarena bargains with Theo, loses to him, and later serves under Hearthwood while seeking his help to advance. (Chapters 239, 331, 438)
  • Auqualian Trade Union: She is its former sovereign, but conquest transfers effective administration to Hearthwood. (Chapters 238–239, 331)
