Xoreda
Biography
Necromancer alliance with Hearthwood
Xoreda is a Wizard of the Circle of Necromancers and an early teacher of Segolas Hearthwood. When the Golden Sword Sect and Lifekeeper Sanctum devastate necromancer territory, Theodore Waltz's northern campaign breaks their enemies' rear lines and lets Xoreda's people survive. That rescue turns an older teacher–student connection into a political alliance: Xoreda helps identify Timeweaver infiltrators, joins later expeditions and defenses, and eventually settles into Hearthwood's broader vassal network. By Chapter 423 she and the other necromancers still need concentrated death zeal and suitable battlefields to support advanced work. (Chapters 229–292, 318–331, 380, 423)
Appearance and personality
Xoreda is associated with the tall, wiry, dark-robed appearance common among the Circle's senior necromancers. She initially addresses Theo with the distant courtesy of an established Wizard toward a promising junior, then adjusts quickly once his cultivation and military authority surpass hers. She is proud of Segolas as a former disciple and practical enough to cooperate with former rivals when survival requires it. (Chapters 251, 289–292, 318–331)
Abilities and cultivation
Xoreda is a Wizard-level death-aspect cultivator. She creates and commands undead, uses undead ravens for reconnaissance, helps construct large abominations, and can train disciples in necromancy. Her art depends on death zeal, corpses or their magical remnants, spellhearts, and prepared territory; drained regions restrict what she can summon. No Sorcerer breakthrough, concept, or later exact level is documented. (Chapters 229–292, 318–331, 423)
Relationships
- Segolas Hearthwood: Segolas was Xoreda's disciple before his curse. She remains concerned for him and regards him as her most charming and promising student. (Chapters 242, 251)
- Theodore Waltz: Theo relieves pressure on the Circle, rebuilds its fortifications, and later calls on Xoreda as a vassal and expedition ally. (Chapters 243–292, 318–331, 380–423)
- Yorik: Xoreda fights beside Yorik when disguised Timeweavers attack their prisoners and helps establish a screening protocol. (Chapter 251)
Items
No unique named item is assigned to Xoreda. Her undead, death-aspect spellhearts, ravens, and ritual supplies are functional assets of necromancy rather than one documented persistent personal artifact. (Chapters 229–292, 423)
