Biography

The Cult, Counterparts, and Immortal Ascension

Ted is an ordinary office worker from Earth whom an unidentified bald man sends into another world with a headset linking him to Theodore Waltz. He expects a chosen-hero adventure but lacks wilderness skills, cultivation, and the local language, forcing Theo to guide him remotely. Elven factions repeatedly seize him because human vitality is valuable, and he eventually reaches Queen Yennas's custody in Hellen. Theo infiltrates the city, gives Ted a temporary translation construct, and nearly extracts him after negotiating with Yennas. The escape fails when an alternate Louis beheads Ted and takes the headset. No wisp or resurrection is recorded, and later accounts treat him as long dead. (Chapters 429–436, 438–444, 464)

Appearance and personality

Ted is short, pudgy, and otherwise physically ordinary, with office clothes marked by coffee stains. He is confused and frightened by the violent societies around him but continues cooperating with Theo's instructions because they offer his only plausible route home. His belief that he may be a chosen hero contrasts sharply with his actual vulnerability. (Chapters 429–435)

Abilities and cultivation

Ted has no spellheart and never reaches mage acolyte. His human vitality makes him valuable to cultivators, but it grants him no defensive advantage. The translation construct is temporarily supplied by Theo rather than learned by Ted, and the cross-timeline headset is external equipment rather than a personal cultivation technique.
