Administration after the contract ends

Elirin first reports security and strategy matters with the careful attention of a professional accustomed to making other people's authority function. During the city rebellion she remains in the governor's estate with loyal personnel and protects the administrative record. Theo then releases her thrall contract. Although legally free to leave, Elirin accepts the mountain of paperwork and stays emotionally loyal to the work and people she has helped organize. She audits processed contracts, questions whether old obligations remain enforceable, relocates to Whitewood, gathers leaders, and files the freed agreements into a new council structure. Her continued service matters precisely because it follows release rather than compulsion. (Chapters 223, 274–277)

The latest references leave Elirin alive and remembered as an indispensable administrator; no death or renewed bondage is recorded. (Chapters 277, 289)

Appearance and personality

Elirin is a small, bespectacled elf with a nervous set to her shoulders and a strongly bookish manner.
