Salla, a daughter of Theodore Waltz and Sava Greenstem, chooses administration under Illiel rather than a purely martial assignment. She becomes Hearthwood's tax collector and applies its rules even to Theo, crediting his overpayment instead of granting the clan leader an informal exception. Her questions to Baroness Jynna about royal levies and tribute help turn a newly founded refuge into an organization capable of meeting obligations beyond its own walls. Salla later accompanies the expedition into the ruins with a concrete administrative purpose: collecting Hearthwood's thirty-percent share.
