Biography

Royal Capital, Abyssal Hunters, and Beast Stampede

Noggen is the palace's dwarven master artificer, maintaining its purchased devices and working with drafting, power stones, and goldmongering. After an embarrassing first meeting in his workshop, he becomes a technically valuable guide for Theodore Waltz: he reviews possible aura fragments, explains why human vitality changes the risks of particular fragments, retrieves candidates from palace storage, and lends specialized tools. He also brings Theo into a capital gathering where his own reputation opens conversations with major clans. His advice is candid about uncertainty—when he cannot identify Theo's damaged gray fragment, he says so and outlines the risk of a cultivation ceiling rather than inventing certainty. Rakaren Invasion and the Spire of Blood

Noggen later uses his routine access as a delivery worker to help Theo's group infiltrate the Temple of Frozen Blood. Because he has made earlier deliveries and knows the route, the disguised party can move equipment up the spire and reach Countess Frostweaver before the confrontation. His latest documented contribution remains logistical and technical rather than front-line combat. (Chapter 215)

Appearance and personality

Noggen is a short, bearded dwarf and appears heavily bandaged after absorbing fireballs from an angry wizard. He is gregarious, food-loving, ribald, and socially shameless, but also forthright when his expertise reaches its limit. The comedy surrounding his workshop does not erase his competence as the palace's master artificer. (Chapters 134–137, 143–146)

Abilities and cultivation

Noggen understands artificing, power-stone production, drafting, goldmongering, palace machinery, and aura-fragment compatibility. He can maintain imported weapons and provide specialized tools, but he cannot identify every fragment and is not presented as a notable combatant. His work often depends on machinery, stored energy, royal access, and prepared equipment rather than a stated personal cultivation realm. (Chapters 134–137, 143–146, 215)
