Biography

A staged capture and a convincing betrayal

Lyondiana serves under Jynna and performs poorly against Theo's golems, encouraging others to underestimate her. Her submissive bond with Jettara leaves her conflicted but willing to support Theo's more elaborate summit scheme. She allows a staged alley capture, then publicly accuses her sister Alayna of cheating and drops Alayna's bag where the assembled factions can interpret it as evidence. The lie helps trigger the intended conflict because it exploits real rivalries rather than requiring Lyondiana to defeat the participants herself. When the violence ends, she takes charge of the unconscious Alayna and survives, demonstrating that her most consequential ability in the episode is social misdirection, not battlefield dominance.
