Chief Conadur

Chief Conadur is the former Myriad Hues Flame chief. His first life ends after he betrays Wisdom during a ritualized duel; his second begins as an unbonded young elf whose recovered identity remains incomplete. (Chapters 38–39, 82, 93–94)

Biography

Betrayal followed by an unfinished second life

Conadur enters the three-chief confrontation as a Mage Acolyte able to feed powders into multicolored flame. When the duel turns lethal, he attacks through Wisdom's defense and effectively sacrifices the allied chief to improve his own position. Yulli nevertheless kills him. Reincarnation then strips away the immediate power and certainty behind that choice: Conadur returns in a fresh body without a spellheart and joins Segolas's followers while old memories gradually re-form. He later takes part in Hearthwood's defense, but the corpus does not show whether the reincarnated Conadur fully accepts, rejects, or even completely remembers the ruthless decisions of his prior life. (Chapters 38–39, 82, 93–94)

Appearance and personality

The first Conadur carries the authority of a clan chief and behaves pragmatically to the point of betrayal. His reincarnated form is visibly younger and less settled. Sparse later evidence prevents treating the old chief's personality as unchanged in the new body. (Chapters 39, 82)

Abilities and cultivation

Before death Conadur is a Mage Acolyte specializing in multicolored flame strengthened or altered with prepared powders and vitality. Reincarnation leaves him without a spellheart, and no precise later rank or recovered signature technique is documented. (Chapters 38–39, 82)

Relationships

  • Chief Wisdom: Wisdom cooperates with Conadur in the duel, but he attacks through her and contributes directly to her death. (Chapter 39)
  • Segolas Hearthwood: Segolas gathers the reincarnated chiefs and gives their new lives a place in Hearthwood's defense. (Chapters 82, 93–94)
