Elixir of Life

History

Jinwoo Sung receives the crafting formula for the Elixir of Life, also called the Holy Water of Life, through the Demon’s Castle quest. Its three ingredients are purified blood from the Demon Monarch, a fragment of the World Tree, and spring water from the Echo Forest. After completing the castle, he successfully crafts six small wooden bottles and preserves the unused ingredients in his inventory.

Jinwoo’s central purpose for making the elixir is to cure his mother of Eternal Sleep. He secretly administers one full bottle in her hospital room, and she awakens free of the disease. The result confirms the item’s extraordinary effect.

The elixir’s scarcity makes Jinwoo cautious about every later request. When Myunghan Yoo seeks a cure, Jinwoo initially refuses rather than promise a limited medicine whose broader effects he has not fully tested. He eventually gives Myunghan a bottle in secret, curing him as well. Jinwoo later attempts to use the elixir after Gunhee Go suffers a fatal attack, but Gunhee stops him. In the rewritten world, Jinwoo uses it early enough to extend Gunhee’s life.

Properties and use

The Elixir of Life is an S-rank consumable that cures every disease when the patient drinks a full bottle. Its effect addresses illness rather than serving as an ordinary combat-healing potion. The supplied chapters demonstrate it curing Eternal Sleep and another otherwise terminal condition, but do not establish that it can reverse death or repair every kind of traumatic injury.

Production is sharply limited by rare ingredients, particularly the finite spring water. The number and quality of crafted results can also depend on the crafter’s Intelligence. Jinwoo therefore conceals the elixir’s existence to protect his small supply and prevent conflict over access to it.
