Anastasia is an ancient Gumiho, Victoria's teacher, and a master craftswoman whose long withdrawal from the world gives way to renewed work with Yeon-woo, Henova, and their allies.

Biography

An ancient Gumiho guards a painful collection

Anastasia lives apart from the wider world with Victoria and the beautiful beings bound to her, avoiding the cost and complications of manifesting her true body. Her crowded storage room is more than a craftsman's hoard: she accepted and preserved dangerous artifacts after an earlier period of desperation and grief, making the collection part of how she holds onto unresolved history. This attachment explains why demands for the Adamantine Nova provoke hostility rather than a straightforward commercial negotiation. (Chapters 214–215 and 321–325)

Curiosity opens a guarded workshop

Yeon-woo's search for the Adamantine Nova brings him into conflict with Anastasia, whose power makes an ordinary dispute dangerous to the surrounding city. She initially refuses to surrender either the object or the history attached to it, but Victoria's persistence and Yeon-woo's ability to address the artifact's malfunction shift the encounter toward cooperation. Anastasia's curiosity as a craftswoman ultimately competes successfully with suspicion, drawing her back into technical problems she had tried to leave untouched. (Chapters 321–345)

Rhea's observer becomes a collaborator

Later revelations connect Anastasia's presence in the lower world to Rhea's preparations, and Kronos's return forces her to reconsider the family whose future she had been asked to watch. Instead of remaining an observer, she applies her knowledge directly: she diagnoses the danger in Doyle's repeatedly severed Channels and joins Henova's master craftsmen to create Scythe. Working without rest inside isolated time, she helps turn Yeon-woo's prepared components into a finished divine weapon, completing her movement from secluded keeper to active collaborator. Appearance and personality

Anastasia normally uses a humanoid presentation and is often accompanied by beautiful children who are bound supernatural beings rather than ordinary servants. Her true body is the much larger and more dangerous form of a Gumiho. She is irritable, blunt, suspicious, and indifferent to conventional justice, yet intensely curious about difficult craft problems. Her possessiveness toward old artifacts comes from grief as well as greed, while her treatment of Victoria reveals durable loyalty beneath the abrasive manner.

Abilities and powers

Anastasia combines the strength and magic of a Legendary Beast and Demon with exceptional knowledge of artifacts, soul structures, and divine craftsmanship. Her strongest physical manifestation carries a severe personal cost.

Gumiho manifestation and magic

Anastasia can cross space through magical openings, establish barriers, command bound supernatural attendants, and tear apart ordinary monsters with little difficulty. Manifesting her true Gumiho body raises that combat power dramatically, but exacts a heavy toll and complicates any return to the heavenly world. Those consequences help explain why she remains withdrawn for roughly a thousand years and prefers tools, preparation, or negotiation when they can solve a problem without full manifestation. Craftsmanship and structural diagnosis

Her craft expertise covers complex artifacts, temporary tools, barriers, and the interaction between souls and divine Channels. She can identify why another forced severance would destroy Doyle's already damaged soul, and she helps coordinate the reconstruction of Scythe from prepared parts. That feat requires other master craftsmen, suitable materials, and a time-isolated workspace; Anastasia's knowledge is decisive, but the corpus presents great artifact-making as collaborative labor rather than effortless creation. • Yeon-woo: Their first negotiation becomes a destructive clash, but shared technical problems and Anastasia's connection to Rhea turn suspicion into recurring collaboration.
