Yun Fei

Yun Fei, who introduces herself as Tu Mo Yun, is the surviving successor of the destroyed Qi Huang Sect. She escapes forced concubinage in the Enchanted Palace carrying her sect's true pill recipes and furnace, then relies on secret movement arts, deception, and bargaining to stay ahead of Qian Kun until her attempt to have Wang Lin's restriction removed leads to her death. (Chapters 200–205)

Biography

Flight from the Enchanted Palace

After the Qi Huang Sect is destroyed, Yun Fei is captured by the Enchanted Palace and compelled to become a concubine. She eventually escapes with the sect's alchemical inheritance. Qian Kun pursues her for a month because he wants those recipes; although he is a mid-stage Core Formation cultivator and she has only recently entered the early stage, a secret escape technique left by her master repeatedly keeps her out of his hands. The technique consumes too much spiritual power to sustain indefinitely, forcing her toward the Chaotic Broken Stars and a negotiated solution. (Chapter 200)

Yun Fei offers Qian Kun a copied recipe jade in exchange for being released. The copy is a trap: its altered ingredient ratios would make anyone following it die during refinement. Qian accepts the jade but immediately breaks his promise, confirming that neither participant trusted the bargain. Wang Lin then emerges from the Chaotic Broken Stars and kills Qian. Yun Fei responds quickly, offering the true inheritance and local knowledge in exchange for her life. (Chapters 200–203)

Guide under restriction

Wang Lin places a three-day blood-reversal restriction in Yun Fei's body and makes her guide him to Qilin City. She cooperates because the restriction gives her no safe alternative, explaining the Sea of Devils and helping him locate the city's cultivators. She also preserves the Qi Huang Sect's high-grade furnace by hiding it beneath a stone rather than surrendering every part of the inheritance immediately. (Chapters 203–204)

Once in Qilin City, Yun Fei seeks someone capable of removing the restriction. Wang's second devil is concealed in her hair and interrupts the attempt: it pulls out and consumes her soul, ending her escape. The devil later takes her core, storage bag, and hidden furnace to Wang. Her choices defeat Qian's pursuit and briefly preserve her sect's legacy, but her effort to regain independence from Wang's control is exactly what triggers the surveillance measure he prepared. (Chapters 204–205, 216, and 220–221)

Appearance and personality

Yun Fei is a pretty young woman in greenish-red clothing with a slim waist. She is frightened when cornered but remains resourceful: she alternates between flight, false concessions, appeals to attraction, and practical bargaining. Her altered recipe and hidden furnace show a capacity for long-term deception, while her search for help in Qilin City shows that cooperation with Wang is compelled rather than loyal. (Chapters 200–205)

Abilities and cultivation

  • Early-stage Core Formation: Yun Fei has only recently reached Core Formation when Qian Kun pursues her. She can fly, use divine sense, and control a flying sword, but she cannot defeat a mid-stage Core Formation opponent directly. Her survival therefore depends on distance, concealment, and negotiation rather than superior force. (Chapters 200–203)
  • Secret escape technique: A movement art inherited from her master lets Yun Fei repeatedly escape Qian Kun despite his higher cultivation. Each use consumes substantial spiritual power; after a month of pursuit she can no longer rely on it, establishing an explicit endurance limit rather than an unrestricted teleportation ability. (Chapter 200)
  • Alchemical inheritance: As the Qi Huang Sect's successor, Yun Fei carries its genuine pill-recipe jade and a high-grade ancient furnace with an intact pill seal. The corpus establishes her custodianship and understanding of the recipes, but does not show her personally refining an advanced pill, so the extent of her practical mastery remains uncertain. (Chapters 200–205 and 216–221)
  • Recipe falsification: Yun Fei makes a convincing copy of the sect's recipes while subtly changing ingredient ratios. The copied procedures appear authentic but would kill the refiner, turning technical alchemical knowledge into a delayed defense against theft. Qian Kun is deceived, though he is killed before attempting the recipes. (Chapters 200–201)

Relationships

  • Qian Kun: Qian Kun pursues Yun Fei for the Qi Huang Sect's recipes and intends to silence her after obtaining them. She exploits his greed with a lethal false copy, but Wang Lin kills him before the deception can take effect. (Chapters 200–203)

Items

  • Qi Huang Sect recipe jades: Yun Fei carries both the genuine alchemical inheritance and a weaponized false copy with altered ratios. (Chapters 200–203)
  • Ancient pill furnace: A high-grade sect treasure hidden beneath a stone in Qilin City. After Yun Fei's death, Wang Lin recovers it and later studies its pill seal with Li Muwan. (Chapters 204–205 and 216–221)
