Ruyi Jingu Bang

Ruyi Jingu Bang is Sun Wukong's golden divine cudgel and the signature weapon available through William's Heroic Avatar connection to the Monkey King. William first calls it with the declaration “Sweep away all adversaries.” (Chapter 442)

History

Heroic Avatar weapon

William manifested Ruyi Jingu Bang as a golden-metallic staff while invoking Sun Wukong's power. It became a recurrent heavy weapon for holding back large opponents, breaking barriers, and conducting his Quick Shot war arts. (Chapters 442, 589, 919, 1252)

Return to the Monkey King

When Sun Wukong himself manifested, he wielded Ruyi Jingu Bang against Ahriman's forces. The weapon's Divine Power let it injure and potentially kill gods, although Wukong deliberately avoided striking the bound Ahriman for fear of breaking his seal. Sun Wukong again carried it during the final war. (Chapters 1077, 1080, 1446)

Abilities and properties

  • The cudgel changes both length and overall size at its wielder's will; it can expand into an oversized or giant weapon and later return to normal. (Chapters 885, 1087, 1333)
  • It bears Divine Power capable of injuring and potentially killing gods. This does not guarantee a kill against an ancient god or bypass every defense. (Chapter 1077)
  • It can block magical blasts and be used as the focus for William's Railgun and Blitzer Railgun techniques, including fusion with William for high-speed impact. Those war arts depend on William's own classes. (Chapters 919, 1252)
  • Its large-scale blows can send targets hundreds of meters and create destructive shockwaves, making indiscriminate use hazardous around allies. (Chapters 885, 973)
