Rhapsody
Rhapsody, the Sword of Eternal Glory, is the Holy sword wielded by Est and given to her by the Goddess Astrid. Although plain in appearance, it is an indestructible faith-powered weapon once carried by the hero Altera in the War of Darkness. (Chapters 73, 148)
History
Sword of Altera
William first appraises Rhapsody when Est reveals that she possesses a Holy-element weapon capable of exploiting Terrorhand's weakness. The appraisal identifies it as Altera's sword from humanity's defense during the War of Darkness. (Chapter 73)
Est's divine weapon
Est later unsheathes Rhapsody in a duel, where the blade rings as if announcing itself. In the Goblin Crypt, its glow intensifies as Est channels Divine Burst through it to tear through the Hobgoblin Leader's defenses. (Chapters 148, 155)
Abilities and properties
- The sword is permanently imbued with the Holy Element and is indestructible. (Chapter 73)
- Its output scales with the user's belief: stronger faith produces greater power. No fixed numerical ceiling is stated. (Chapter 73)
- Only devout followers of Astrid can wield it, an explicit access limitation. (Chapter 73)
- Est channels Divine Burst through Rhapsody, but the named technique is part of Est's divine combat power; the appraisal does not list it as an independent sword skill. (Chapter 155)
