Zhu

Zhu is a boastful Pig Demon who first blocks William's progress and later becomes a recurring ally. He fights with a nine-toothed rake and supplies leadership in formation battles.

Biography

From gatekeeper to formation leader

Zhu introduces himself as an obstacle, confidently declaring that William will not pass. In the Central Continent he challenges enemies with proverb-like bravado, asks practical questions before entering dangerous territory, and coordinates with Sha. By the War of Destruction he stands at the front of a formation in battle form, orders the line to hold, and relies on Sha to protect his blind side. His consequence is a shift from comic adversary to dependable coalition warrior, though the brief gives little private development. (Chapters 318–331, 691–794, 1441)

Appearance and personality

Zhu is a chubby Pig Demon who can assume a larger battle form. He is boastful, humorous, cautious when planning, and commanding in combat. (Chapters 318, 720, 1441)
