Yves

Yves is the giant cobra who guards the Tower of Babylon's ninth floor. He regulates the Tristan succession conflict through a contract and protective necklaces. (Chapters 581, 582, and 586)

Biography

Guardian overseeing the brothers' conflict

Yves gives Xander and Xavier necklaces that prevent anyone except the brothers from killing either claimant. When their succession struggle drags on, he contracts with the Tristan patriarch so that the winning side must be supported by both family branches. Uninterested in which brother triumphs, Yves asks Oogwei to send new players who can help end the war faster. He then watches William and Chiffon's tower journey with the other Guardians and later follows events from the Hall of Guardians. (Chapters 579, 581, 582, 586, 600, and 631)

Appearance and personality

Yves is a giant cobra with dark-gold scales. He is neutral about the rival claimants, impatient with a prolonged conflict, and willing to manipulate its conditions so the ninth floor can return to order. (Chapters 581 and 582)

Skills, classes, and divinities

As a Floor Guardian, Yves can make binding contracts and provide protective necklaces that enforce special rules around death. His direct combat rank, attacks, and full Guardian authority are not established. (Chapters 581, 582, and 586)
