Biography

Anger, retreat, and an heir's apology

Walric and his brother Orryn enter a clash that their opponents expect will cost them heavily. At the height of his anger, Walric manifests a desert worm a thousand meters long. Once the confrontation turns against the Rhanes candidates, he insists on returning home even if the family punishes him, judging that warning the clan is more important than protecting himself. Before his grandfather, Walric kneels, admits his stupidity as a grave sin, and accepts full responsibility, while the four heir candidates look at William in horror.
