Vlad is Jekyll's father, a Demigod and an old friend of James. Though once the ruler of Strathmore Forest, he spends much of his documented role quietly protecting Lont and the Ainsworth household. (Chapters 344, 370, 785, and 1451)

Lont's quiet Demigod guardian

Jekyll introduces Vladimir as James's “best friend.” While the adults of Lont remain weakened by a curse, Vlad stays at the Ainsworth Residence, meditates, and protects the town without interfering in daily life. His restraint is as important as his strength: after neutralizing intruders, he apparently lets Floyd escape rather than pursue a mortal beneath a Demigod's concern. The children of Lont consequently survive the war under his protection. (Chapters 344, 370, 432–435, and 1149)

Appearance and personality

The brief does not preserve a detailed physical description. Vlad is reserved, self-contained, and protective; he prefers meditation and minimal intervention, yet treats James's family and their secrets as matters worthy of personal loyalty. (Chapters 370, 674, and 1049)
