Lorcan
Lorcan Di Rhanes is the ailing Patriarch of the Rhanes Clan and Zeph's true lord among the Fortaare Desert's three major clans. (Chapters 1023, 1028, and 1242)
Biography
The Holy Order and the Underworld
Lorcan accepts the refuge William offers, agreeing that the Thousand Beast Domain is a paradise compared with the desert. Later, Zeph's argument prompts Lorcan to rise and speak as patriarch and true lord. These scenes show him participating in collective decisions despite illness and lost protection, but the excerpts do not preserve the content of his later statement or establish whether he regains the Fortaare Death Worm that once maintained the regional balance. (Chapters 1101 and 1242)
Appearance and personality
Lorcan is pale and ill, yet walks toward William with steady, firm steps. He sighs over the failure of the status quo he worked for years to preserve. (Chapters 1023 and 1025)
Skills, classes, and divinities
Lorcan once used the Fortaare Death Worm as a deterrent. His personal class, rank, techniques, and combat limits are not established. (Chapters 1023 and 1028)
Relationships
- Zeph: Lorcan's subordinate and true-lord relationship is explicit despite Zeph's own patriarchal office. (Chapters 1092 and 1242)
- William: Threatening visitor who later provides Lorcan's people refuge. (Chapters 1025 and 1101)
Items
Lorcan's authority once depended on the Fortaare Death Worm, a guardian beast rather than a documented personal item. (Chapters 1023 and 1028)
