A veteran removed by the crystal spell
Gideon answers James's orders and patrols with Damian, reminding his companion that the boss may object if they appear to be slacking. The pair later stand with James against an old man and Raghnall at the battlefield's center, calmly facing the opposing side. Their experience cannot counter the larger magical trap: Gideon, Damian, and James are all transformed into crystal statues by a spell different from Deus's original plan.
