Erza

Erza Anwen Aoife is an “Undying Witch” of the Zelan Dynasty, its former foreign ambassador, James's wife, and William's grandmother. (Chapters 252, 260, and 296)

Biography

The Southern Continental War

Alaric recounts that Erza served as the Zelan Dynasty's foreign ambassador and traveled to the Hellan Kingdom on a mission, where James fell in love with her. Her family connection later lets Alaric identify William as her grandson. Erza does not act in the selected wartime arc because the surviving accounts treat her as a remembered loved one; the consequence of her earlier diplomacy is the enduring link between the two families. (Chapters 252, 260, and 310)

Appearance and personality

The selected evidence gives no physical description. Erza is remembered as formidable enough to beat James repeatedly while he courted her and beloved enough that William's resemblance causes Aramis pain. (Chapters 194 and 699)

Skills, classes, and divinities

Erza bears the title “Undying Witch” and is a capable fighter, but the brief gives no class, rank, named spell, or explanation of the title. (Chapters 192 and 296)
