Calli

Calli is a Ferryman of the Underworld and Erinys's longtime best friend. Her loyalty is tested when protecting Erinys conflicts directly with the authority Thanatos holds over every Ferryman. (Chapters 1304, 1410, and 1413)

Biography

Choosing friendship under Thanatos's rule

Calli reunites warmly with Erinys near Lust's Abode and later decides to conceal her friend's forbidden return to the Underworld. She refuses to hide the entire group aboard her ship because the punishment would be severe, but still asks William to protect Erinys. Thanatos's spell transports Calli before him after the meeting; unable to lie, she has her memories forcibly extracted, collapses, and uses her remaining strength to warn Erinys that he is coming. (Chapters 1304, 1315, 1410, and 1413)

Appearance and personality

Calli has a pretty face, long dark-brown hair, and green eyes, and wears a Ferryman's black robe. She is teasing and affectionate with Erinys, proud of her work, fearful of Thanatos's punishment, and ultimately loyal enough to keep her friend's secret as long as she can. As a Ferryman, Calli pilots a flying ship, transports souls, and communicates telepathically with other Ferrymen. Thanatos's binding spell can override her freedom and expose her memories; no independent combat class or Divinity is established. (Chapters 1304, 1410, and 1413)
