Plague Eater Sword

The Plague Eater Sword is the two-handed weapon Vala gains through her Epic transformation. It is shown as part of her transformed combat equipment rather than as a separately acquired or traded possession.

History

Epic transformation weapon

The sword first appears when both active Vala twins join the assault on a fortified Beastkin settlement. Wielding the two-handed Plague Eater Sword gained from Vala's Epic transformation, they carve infected-looking wounds into the powerful Wolfkin leader while Cain and the other summons press the attack. The scene demonstrates the weapon in combat but provides no independent acquisition event, transfer, loss, or later custody. Its known status therefore remains tied to Vala's transformed form rather than to a freestanding inventory item. (Chapter 118)

Abilities and properties

  • The weapon is large enough for two-handed use and is wielded simultaneously by both of Vala's active copies. (Chapter 118)
  • Its strikes leave deep, infected-looking gouges. The chapter does not name a separate debuff, damage formula, duration, or cure, so the visual infection effect should not be expanded into unsupported mechanics. (Chapter 118)
  • It originates with Vala's Epic transformation. The source does not establish that it can be unequipped, transferred, or persist independently of that form. (Chapter 118)

Ownership and custody
