Ancient Reward Box

The Ancient Reward Box is a one-use reward container won by Cain from a wheel's unidentified Ancient-grade space. Opening it grants the spell that creates Vala, making the otherwise short-lived object a major turning point in Cain's summoning abilities.

History

The Ancient spell reward

Cain's reward wheel lands on a tarnished-bronze space marked only with question marks, a quality he has neither seen nor heard of. The resulting box appears physically unremarkable—a worn wooden container with tarnished hinges—but opening it grants the Ancient spell Summon Lesser Demonic Companion. The spell immediately generates Vala as Cain's first demonic companion and carries a stated future upgrade condition. The box itself has no further recorded custody or use after releasing its reward. Abilities and properties

• The container holds and grants one Ancient spell when opened. No reusable storage function or other enchantment is described. (Chapter 48)
• Its reward is Summon Lesser Demonic Companion, which is set to upgrade to Greater Demonic Companion after Cain knows one hundred demonic summons. (Chapter 48)
