Kone
Kone is a Spirit Folk healer who joins the Darklight Host as an underleveled Druid and grows into a Beast Lord responsible for dragons, defensive summons, and the guild's civilian welfare. Her progression is driven as much by chosen family and public service as by levels: she leads parties, restores farmland, teaches younger members, and maintains settlements while her bond with the Forest Dragon Su gives her a second battlefield presence.
Biography
A druid joins the Host
Kone first approaches Cain as a level-32 Druid from the Elven Woods, visibly ragged and uncertain whether the Darklight Host will accept her. She has heard that the guild welcomes women and different species, and she wants a place where she can contribute rather than remain dangerously underleveled. Cain's promise of fair access to drops, equipment, food, and a market for her potions removes her fear of rejection, and she accepts membership almost immediately. (Chapters 70–71)
The guild rapidly turns that refuge into practical growth. Kone arrives with Herbalism, Alchemy, Bear Form, Spirit Circle, and a fully developed Healing Factor, then gains sixteen levels during the Naga raid. Her new Rend gives her a no-mana bleeding attack on a short cooldown, while Thorns of Retribution converts damage suffered by allies into group healing. These abilities let her contribute both offense and recovery without abandoning the support identity that first made her useful to the party. (Chapters 70 and 73)
Her Druid class quest tests judgment rather than raw damage. Kone follows a diplomatic route with the Spider Queen, ends enemy control over captives, and earns Beast Companions together with Princess Aramia's surety. At level 100 she then chooses the hidden Beast Lord class because she wants to stand beside Cain without ceasing to be a healer. The advancement resets her class skills but gives her an army, stronger healing auras, and Wild Affinity, through which she permanently chooses the Forest Dragon Su. (Chapters 120 and 137–138)
Beast Lord and guild leader
Beast Lord changes Kone from a single party healer into a mobile formation commander. Su provides a second regeneration aura as well as Draconian Regrowth and Wither, while Bestial Allies supplies Greater Golem turtles and Control Beasts can maintain a capped group of controlled monsters. Cain's Appointed Companion effect temporarily doubles her class summons and grants them his Glory of Mark, allowing sixteen turtles and a duplicate Su, but Kone also accepts leadership duties independent of that amplification by guiding Demon Raid parties for a city recovering from abusive rulers. (Chapters 138 and 140)
Her multiplied battlefield presence becomes a strategic resource for the Host. Kone can be copied as one of Cain's supporters, with each copy bringing Su and its own summoned formation; during naval fighting, Forest Dragons spread Wither clouds that weaken defenders while snapping turtles board enemy vessels. Kone also studies Merger combinations rather than relying on raw numbers. Combining her template with Lords of Decay improves healing done and received, mana recovery, and maximum health, making her a durable organizer who can sustain repeated guild expeditions. (Chapters 183, 209, and 284)
Kone increasingly manages the guild's ordinary life as carefully as its battles. She leads early resource-dungeon runs, lives at the castle for safety, maintains its plants, and coordinates Druids and Earth Mages when new growth is needed. She can be stern—Larkin receives a painful but healed penance for spying near the baths—but the discipline grows into affection as she teaches him to behave more responsibly. By the time Misha is expecting a child, Kone eagerly takes the role of future big sister and helps Cyrene renovate a nursery. (Chapters 284, 323, and 358–359)
The changing world
As political conflict destroys established support networks, Kone directs her nature magic toward reconstruction. In Ferdinand's territory she identifies that succession fighting killed the Druids who maintained local crops, then proposes recruiting new nature workers and sheltering cultivation areas above desert dungeons. The solution treats food security as a staffing and infrastructure problem, not merely a spell to cast once. Her work with Larkin likewise centers on healing residents and improving agriculture, placing the pair within the Host's expanding civilian outreach. (Chapters 359 and 374)
Her personal power also changes during this period. In Chapter 510, bonding an Albino Snow Leopard as a Bonded Beast causes Kone to undergo Mythic Awakening, while Su remains the Forest Dragon most closely associated with her normal operations. The event is distinct from Cain's later ability to summon higher-quality Kone templates: her own awakening is explicitly tied to the new beast bond, whereas copied versions and their creatures inherit temporary scaling from Cain. This distinction keeps her personal progression separate from the strength of derivative summons. (Chapters 473 and 510)
By Chapter 520, Kone is close to level 300 and helps administer Blood Sands with Larkin. Her duties include checking the aquifer and botanical gardens, responding to monster activity, and using repeated Tower expeditions to approach the next major level threshold. A scorpion attack also establishes a concrete limit: her healing aura clears poison, but it cannot remove the slowing curse attached to the attack. Kone therefore remains an exceptionally broad sustain specialist without becoming a universal answer to every status effect. (Chapter 520)
Teacher and companion
Kone's later role emphasizes patient instruction. She postpones her own plans to meet the newborn Luna, answers the child's questions, and later sends a summoned instance to teach her how to manage creatures. The lesson focuses on command design: low-level summons have limited intelligence, so a summoner must give clear orders and organize operations rather than assume independent judgment. Kone's encouragement turns experience gained from coordinating beasts and guild parties into a curriculum for the next generation. (Chapters 523 and 531)
She remains an active adventurer and problem-solver while teaching. Kone joins the search for the Librarian through an Avatar, reassures Jessica that the quest is about finding answers rather than seeking a fight, and offers practical ideas when the group confronts unfamiliar rules. On the journey she recognizes that an intelligent Golden Lion should not be treated as an ordinary animal, restraining Su's instinct to pet it. Later, she proposes converting guild daycares into academies and helps develop a plan for reproducing skilled teachers through Watcher-made puppets. (Chapters 533, 562–563, and 587)
Kone and Su also continue serving as investigators and large-scale support assets. Local copies track stolen dragon eggs through scent and environmental clues, discover evidence of a tunnel and ward, and report the findings instead of charging blindly ahead. Cain later summons many Kone-and-Su formations and merges with their healing template during a Divine tribulation; the stacked aura restores ten percent of life every five seconds. These feats demonstrate the value of her template, but the multiplied Immortal-quality creatures are Cain's scaled derivatives rather than proof of another personal awakening for the original Kone. (Chapters 667–668, 674–675, and 680)
Appearance and personality
Kone initially appears as a small, ragged Spirit Folk girl with dark brown hair. Once she has resources, her chosen style mixes punk, gothic, and bohemian elements, with smoky eye makeup, bright red lipstick, and carefully selected clothes. Spirit Folk development changes her stature over time: roughly half a year later she has grown to nearly the height of a slender Dragonkin or adult human woman, though the narrative says she is still developing rather than fully mature. (Chapters 70, 72, and 535)
She begins shy and afraid of rejection but becomes cheerful, teasing, and comfortable exercising authority. Kone's hero worship of Cain helps motivate her Beast Lord choice, yet her later decisions show independent priorities: she protects food supplies, disciplines misconduct, nurtures children, and weighs the intelligence of other beings before acting. She enjoys early mornings and adventure, can be mischievous with friends, and combines tenderness with an organizer's insistence that work and orders be done properly. (Chapters 70–72, 137, 284, 323, 374, 531, and 563)
Skills and class features
Kone's power develops from the Druid class into Beast Lord, a hidden level-100 advancement that replaces most of her original class kit with beast command, persistent regeneration, and scalable summons. Her battlefield identity is therefore layered: personal nature magic and healing, Su's dragon abilities, controlled or summoned beasts, and conditional copies created through Cain's support mechanics. Mythic Awakening later improves her own quality, but the corpus does not establish a subsequent Spirit, Immortal, or Divine advancement for the original Kone. (Chapters 70, 120, 137–140, 510, and 680)
Druid foundation
As a Druid, Kone knows Herbalism and Alchemy and can sell potions to finance better equipment. Her combat kit includes a well-developed Bear Form, Spirit Circle, and a maximized Healing Factor before she joins the Host. Rend adds a free offensive tool that causes bleeding and can be reused after three seconds, while Thorns of Retribution heals the group in response to damage allies take. These tools let her sustain a party while preserving mana for healing and utility, but most class-granted abilities are reset when she chooses Beast Lord. (Chapters 70–73 and 137)
Her class quest also unlocks Beast Companions through a noncombat resolution. Kone ends the control affecting the Spider Queen's faction and accepts a relationship backed by Princess Aramia, showing that Druid progression can reward diplomacy and affinity with creatures rather than extermination. The resulting companion access becomes the bridge to Beast Lord. It is not described as unlimited domination: later Beast Lord mechanics impose explicit caps, and Kone's behavior toward intelligent beasts shows that she distinguishes commandable monsters from people with agency. (Chapters 120, 137, and 563)
Beast Lord auras and healing
Monstrous Regeneration is Kone's central Beast Lord sustain feature. It gives both Kone and her companions an aura that restores five percent of allied maximum health per second and applies Cleanse every five seconds. Lord's Blessing supplies a direct Greater Heal for emergencies. When Su is chosen through Wild Affinity, Kone receives Draconian Regrowth, which heals allies within a selected thirty-meter area over fifteen seconds. The two separate regeneration auras can stack, so Kone and Su together provide more continuous recovery than either alone. (Chapters 137–138)
The healing kit trades breadth for persistence. Kone notes that the class change removed many of her old active heals, leaving the aura, periodic cleansing, a basic large heal, and Su's area regeneration as the core package. The Cleanse is powerful against poison, but it does not clear the slow curse attached to the Blood Sands scorpions. Lord of Decay Merger effects can raise healing done and received, mana recovery, and health, but those bonuses require Cain's transformation or copy mechanics and are not always-active properties of Kone alone. (Chapters 138, 183, 284, and 520)
Su, Wither, and beast command
Wild Affinity permits one permanent companion choice, and Kone selects Su, a Forest Dragon. Their connection is close enough for shared awareness and coordination, while Su contributes flight, dragon senses, and nature-themed breath attacks. Wither is a cone-shaped dragon breath that deals damage while reducing enemy statistics and resistances by thirty percent; across naval battles, multiple Sus can turn it into a broad weakening cloud. Draconian Regrowth supplies the complementary healing zone, giving the pair both offensive debuffing and area recovery. (Chapters 137–138 and 209)
Bestial Allies initially summons eight Beastkin Greater Golems, commonly snapping-turtle defenders. Control Beasts allows Kone to command Beast or Beastkin monsters, with ten active targets and scaling based on her level. Wild Nobility doubles her base statistics, increases damage dealt by Kone and her summons by fifty percent, and reduces their incoming damage by twenty-five percent. Together the features favor formation tactics: durable turtles hold or board targets while Su applies Wither, and Kone keeps the entire group alive rather than relying on a single finishing strike. (Chapter 137; Chapters 140 and 209)
Summon interactions and limitations
Cain's Appointed Companion effect cannot simply transfer Kone's class, but it doubles her class summons and grants them Glory of Mark, raising eight turtles to sixteen and temporarily reproducing Su. Cain can also create Kone supporter copies, each with its own derived Su and formation, or merge with her template to obtain her auras and skills. These interactions make Kone extraordinarily scalable in Cain's army, but they are conditional on his abilities. The intelligence of low-tier summons is limited, so their effectiveness depends on precise commands and organization. (Chapters 140, 183, 209, 531, and 680)
Derivative quality must not be confused with Kone's own state. Immortal-quality turtles, dragons, and Kone copies seen late in the corpus inherit Cain's current summoning scale, and a merged Cain can stack many copies of her healing effect. The original Kone's confirmed independent change is Mythic Awakening after bonding the Albino Snow Leopard. She later receives a Spirit-quality item and a new Mythic spell, but the spell's name and mechanics are not stated, and the item reward does not establish Spirit Awakening. (Chapters 510, 569, and 674–680)
Mythic Awakening and latest state
Kone's Mythic Awakening occurs when the Albino Snow Leopard becomes her Bonded Beast. The passage confirms the awakening but does not provide a replacement class name, detailed resistance percentage, or a complete revised skill list for her specifically. She remains identified through Beast Lord operations, Su, turtles, healing auras, and guild service afterward. The safest latest classification is therefore a Mythic Awakened Beast Lord nearing level 300 by Chapter 520, with no locally confirmed later threshold for the original. (Chapters 510 and 520)
Her latest demonstrated applications combine investigation, teaching, and support rather than a new formal rank. Kone's local instances and Su follow tracks, analyze wards, and report evidence in the stolen-eggs case; her template later sustains Cain during Divine tribulation. Those scenes show that her established abilities remain valuable at much higher battle scales when copied, but they do not alter the original's recorded level or quality. Her endpoint role is consequently best understood as Mythic healer, beast commander, guild organizer, and instructor. (Chapters 587, 667–668, and 680)

Relationships
- Cain: Kone initially sees Cain as a heroic guild master and chooses Beast Lord partly so she can stand beside him. Cain treats her with a fatherly protectiveness, helps accelerate her progression, and repeatedly uses her support template; Kone matures into an adviser who can challenge assumptions and teach others without depending on his direction.
- Su: The Forest Dragon is Kone's permanent Wild Affinity companion and closest combat partner. Their stacked regeneration, complementary healing and debuffing, shared travel, and easy conversation make Su an extension of Kone's daily life as well as her battlefield formation.
- Larkin: Kone first disciplines Larkin's improper behavior and helps reshape him into a more responsible gentleman. Their work healing residents and maintaining crops grows alongside an increasingly official romantic relationship, and by Chapter 520 they jointly carry responsibilities in Blood Sands.
- Misha: Kone regards Misha and the other core guild members as family. She is excited to become a big sister when Misha becomes pregnant, helps prepare the nursery, and makes meeting Luna a priority after the child's birth.
- Luna: Kone treats Luna as both family and student. She answers personal questions, reassures her, and teaches the operational side of summoning: clear orders, realistic expectations about intelligence, and the need to manage creatures rather than merely call them.
- Darklight Host: The guild gives Kone safety, equipment, and a market when she is vulnerable. She repays that refuge by leading expeditions, maintaining plants and farms, organizing public services, investigating threats, and advocating academies for the communities under its protection.
