Logan's Mechanical Suit

Logan's Mechanical Suit is the modular armour assembled by Logan Green's spider-like machines. Rather than one fixed shell, it is a reconfigurable platform that forms from compact stored machinery, changes between offensive and defensive arrangements, and consumes beast-crystal energy to power weapons. History

The earliest suit appears when Logan reacts defensively to a sudden change in Quinn. Small machines surround Logan and form a human-shaped miniature mech without the bulk of military armour. He later deploys the same compact system from a black sphere while confronting Quinn's group over Peter's disappearance. Shoulder and arm cannons let him cover several people at once, and one blast injures Fex badly enough to surprise a vampire. Logan dismantles the armour back into its portable sphere after Quinn's system shares the truth with him. (Chapters 150 and 182–184)

Logan continues to build specialized configurations rather than treating the first design as complete. During the expedition into the Green family facility, he chooses a defensive suit against a horde of wendigos and produces paired energy blades from intermediate crystals. The armour holds long enough for allies to intervene but dents under the combined weight and strength of the creatures, confirming that the platform can delay physical threats without making its human wearer invulnerable. As the Cursed faction grows, Logan's machines expand beyond personal protection into remote spiders, scanners, medical tools, cameras, ship repairs, and crystal-fed weapons. His own equipment remains the hub from which these systems are commanded and reshaped. Specialized speed or heavy-defence forms let him prepare for different opponents, while spare parts and blueprints allow him to replace lost structures. This growth makes the phrase “mechanical suit” a practical catalog name for an evolving family of configurations rather than a claim that every later shell is physically identical to the academy model. Logan's soul weapon eventually lets him break electronic objects into the same spider machines, rebuild them from designs, and temporarily computerize other matter. Combined with increasing robotic replacement of his body, the distinction between wearer, suit, and external machinery becomes less rigid. In the late rescue war, he links dozens of androids, their crystals, and his own reshaped body into a single large weapon capable of overcoming a regenerating five-spike Dalki. That culmination depends on the same modular principle as the early suit, but at an army scale and with a cost severe enough to nearly destroy his remaining organic tissue. Properties and use

The base machinery consists of many small units that move independently and assemble around Logan at high speed. They can form a compact black sphere when stored, a fitted mech-like shell when deployed, or localized components such as a cannon, collar, mask, blade, scanner, or protective plate. Logan's machine ability supplies the coordination, so the suit's versatility depends on his control and stored designs rather than autonomous transformation without a user. Offensive configurations use beast crystals as consumable energy sources. The academy suit forms multiple blue-energy cannons; paired intermediate crystals power energy blades against the wendigos; and later structures route higher-tier crystals through larger cannons and connected machines. Discharging a crystal's energy can consume or exhaust the material, so output is limited by the quality and number of available crystals rather than an inexhaustible internal reactor. Defensive forms distribute impact and isolate Logan from claws, weapons, gas, or environmental hazards. The armour can generate an emergency face covering and additional masks, but preparation time and available material matter. The platform's greatest advantage is adaptability. Logan can choose speed, defence, range, restraint, or support, divide machines into remote agents, and reassemble damaged electronics into a new blueprint.
