Brock

Brock is Richard Eno's former Royal Knight and long-serving agent. Posing as the Blade castle's head servant across generations, he protects the secrecy of the family and its demon-tier dragon while quietly serving Eno's larger plans. His apparent Blade loyalty and genuine service to Eno are distinct: Brock can protect Blade children from Hilston while still treating Eno's wishes as his final authority. Biography

Watching the Blade family from within

Brock appears as the Blade castle's head servant, commanding the household staff and receiving unusual respect from Hilston. His cover is supported by real strength and by the same brutal training used on Blade survivors, allowing him to seem like a long-established human retainer. When Logan arrives on the hidden island, Brock initially prepares to kill him to preserve its secrecy, then delays after recognising the Green family's possible value. (Chapters 640–641)

Although Brock detects Logan's deception, he ultimately clears the castle, injures himself to stage a fight, returns Logan's communication mask, and lets him escape. He refuses to confirm whom he serves, but directs Logan to continue looking for Richard Eno. That decision protects Vorden and the island's children from Hilston's system without openly abandoning Brock's assignment; it also turns Logan's suspicion into the first clear trail toward Brock's true master. Revealing Eno's agent network

Brock later approaches the Cursed group openly as a vampire and explains that Eno's network has watched the human, vampire, and Dalki worlds. He confirms that Eno ordered him to infiltrate the Blades because their tablet and dragon mattered to Eno's research, and that his changeable appearance allowed him to preserve the island's secrecy through generations. He also admits advising Sam and Paul to turn companions so someone capable of copying Mona's control ability would remain available if the dragon had to be moved. (Chapters 1001, 1005–1007)

When Eno reaches the Cursed ship, Brock immediately bows and addresses him as master. Eno identifies Brock more precisely as the Royal Knight from his own reign, not one of his replaceable clones, and says Brock once had a different ability before the tablet was used to change it for their mission. Brock then guides the coalition through Blade Island, recounting its child training and Hilston's history with a calmness that unsettles those who survived it. (Chapters 1033, 1108, 1115, and 1256)

Loyalty during the battle for the dragon

Brock remains beside Eno as the Dalki move on Blade Island and argues against weakening the defensive force. His loyalty is personal rather than grounded in a conventional moral code: when Eno asks whether he is evil, Brock answers that good and evil are subjective and that Eno has always followed what he wanted. During the dragon's attack, Brock is more concerned with reaching Eno than with his own safety and angrily resists being pulled out of danger. (Chapters 1268, 1272–1273, and 1285)

Against Jim and the six-spiked Dalki, Brock attacks to protect Eno, but Jim's reflecting shield blows off his right arm. Brock closes the wound but cannot immediately regrow the limb; he continues fighting one-handed with blood aura until the enemy force overwhelms him. Eno is last shown carrying the injured Brock while Quinn helps them evade pursuit. Bliss later states only that neither man appears in her subsequent visions and explicitly cannot say whether they are alive, so Brock's final status remains unknown rather than confirmed dead. Appearance and personality

Brock presents himself as an old, one-eyed man in a formal butler uniform, white gloves, straight-backed posture, and controlled manner. Because he uses a transformation ability and changes his appearance across his long infiltration, that presentation is a cover rather than a reliable indication of his natural age or face. He is observant, difficult to read, and capable of threatening a child without visible emotion, yet he also spares Logan and helps the Blade children escape. The apparent contradiction follows his priorities: Brock is flexible about means and conventional morality, but unwavering in service to Eno. (Chapters 640–648, 661, 1001–1007, 1033, 1256, and 1268)

Powers and abilities

Vampire physiology and blood aura

Brock is a vampire and a former Royal Knight, with the speed, strength, recovery, and blood-aura techniques expected of that status. He stops Logan's armoured hammer strike with one forearm without moving, then knocks him across the room with a light-looking palm strike. In the Blade Island battle he closes the wound after losing an arm, produces a blood swipe, and fires a concentrated Blood Cannon powerful enough to drive a six-spiked Dalki backward, although it does not substantially injure the target. The severed arm remains absent during that fight, showing that wound closure is not immediate limb regeneration. (Chapters 661, 1001, 1108, and 1295–1300)

Transformation and borrowed abilities

Eno states that Brock's original power was replaced through the Blade tablet to suit their work. Brock can repeatedly change his appearance, allowing a vampire to pose inside one human household across generations. The exact duration and activation conditions of that transformation are not explained. (Chapters 1007, 1108, and 1256)

Early on the island, physical contact with Logan also gives Brock limited access to Logan's machine ability, which he uses to identify the mask as a communication device despite finding the unfamiliar power difficult. The corpus does not fully reconcile this copied ability with Eno's later description of a changed transformation power, so it should not be treated as proof that Brock has every Blade-family copying mechanic or an unlimited set of stored abilities. Infiltration and intelligence work

Brock's greatest demonstrated skill is maintaining a cover while controlling information. He coordinates servants, detects Logan's multiple-entry deception, engineers an empty escape route, and keeps the Blade family, tablet, and dragon outside public knowledge for generations. His access gives Eno detailed intelligence about Hilston's training, Truedream's intrusion, and the dragon, but the corpus does not establish that Brock knows every part of Eno's plans.
