Su Changyu

Su Changyu is an exile whose urgent desire to cultivate is driven less by personal glory than by the need to save his sick younger relative, Su Xiaomei. (Chapters 22–27, 72)

Fellow Escapees

After reaching Liuli Island, Su Changyu questions every available method for removing Immortal-Mortal Miasma and chooses the dangerous experimental route because Su Xiaomei appears terminally ill. He dies within days in that life, deeply affecting Xiao Heng. Li Fan's later intervention changes the outcome: Su Xiaomei is stabilized, Su Changyu survives, practices the Concealed Jade Art, enters Qi Condensation, and helps guard the Tai Yan Boat with the group. The contrast makes his death contingent on circumstances rather than a fixed endpoint shared by every cycle. (Chapters 22–27, 72–73, 134, 143)

Appearance and personality

The text does not establish a distinctive adult costume or fixed facial design. Su Changyu is calm, determined, decent, protective, and willing to accept extreme personal risk for family.
