Red Nine-Headed

Red Nine-Headed is a gigantic sentient demon beast whose nine minds survive in memory and whose mutilated corpse becomes both the foundation and a continuing danger of Xu Ke's Empire.

Biography

Chapter 670

Red Nine-Headed stands among the strongest demons of the ancient conflict, with nine heads that speak and react as distinct personalities. Mr. Bai's red string defeats it, and its dying words concern the demon race's retreat. The corpse later reaches a small world with heads severed, while Xu Ke and his successors build an Empire around and upon the remains. Six heads become breeding incubators, but death does not make the body inert: residual wills, wails, and vengeful hostility continue to threaten those who exploit it. The character is therefore a dead nonhuman person with persistent consciousness traces, not a mindless item. (Chapters 670–685; Chapters 747–772)

Appearance and personality

The creature is an enormous red-bodied demon beast with nine heads. Each head has a distinguishable temperament and voice, so the collective can argue, react, and suffer as multiple minds within one body. Its final and posthumous scenes emphasize ferocity, pain, resentment, and refusal to rest rather than human facial or clothing traits. (Chapters 670–685; Chapters 747–750)

Nine-headed body and divided minds

Red Nine-Headed's immense body supports nine independently expressive heads and enough vitality that the remains continue to produce spiritual and biological effects after death. The structure grants multiple viewpoints and extraordinary resilience, but it is not invulnerable: the red string severs or ruins the heads and kills the living beast. No ordinary human realm label is supplied or appropriate. (Chapters 670–685)

Posthumous residual will

The severed heads and corpse retain resentment, cries, and active influence when the Empire uses them as breeding chambers and structural resources. These phenomena make the remains dangerous and sentient-adjacent, but they do not prove full resurrection or unified control by the original nine minds. (Chapters 747–772)
