Long Jiuyuan
Long Jiuyuan is the Long clan's foremost younger-generation prodigy, whose long-delayed Dao Integration breakthrough becomes one of the Tianling war's earliest high-level casualties. (Chapters 552–561)
Biography
Chapter 552
Long Jiuyuan rises from Qi Condensation to peak Soul Transformation in just over a century, then remains blocked for another century by the scarcity of a suitable Spirit of Heaven and Earth. He finally finds the Black Marsh imprisoning a Heavenly Calamity Sword fragment and completes Dao Integration after 286 years of cultivation. The achievement is immediately overshadowed by war: an enemy cultivator grievously wounds and kills him soon after the breakthrough, forcing Long Yueyou to announce the clan's loss to their associates. Later recollections preserve the Black Marsh as a known Dao Integration opportunity rather than reversing his death. (Chapters 552–561, 810)
Appearance and personality
The source does not supply a stable portrait or costume. Long Jiuyuan is known primarily through clan testimony and heaven-and-earth notices as exceptionally talented and patient enough to endure a century-long bottleneck. Because his direct dialogue is sparse, more specific personality claims would exceed the evidence. (Chapters 552, 560–561)
Abilities and cultivation
Long Jiuyuan founds his cultivation on the Scarlet Dragon Molt, forms his Golden Core with Hidden Potential, Rising Dragon, Spell Breaking, and Life-and-Death Battle, devours the Hundred Abyss Cave Heaven for Nascent Soul, and uses Tianling's Thousand Waters for Soul Transformation. Offering the Black Marsh then permits Dao Integration. This formal sequence is reported retrospectively at his death; his swift killing shows that breakthrough did not ensure battlefield survival. (Chapter 560)
Relationships
Long Yueyou is his younger brother and the relative who explains the breakthrough opportunity before reporting Jiuyuan's death. The cohesive Long clan treats his rise as a shared hope and his loss as irreplaceable. The unidentified enemy who kills him turns a personal culmination into a warning about the war's scale. (Chapters 552–561)
Items
- Scarlet Dragon Molt: Used as Long Jiuyuan's Foundation Establishment treasure and incorporated into his cultivation rather than carried as ordinary inventory afterward. (Chapter 560)
- Black Marsh and Hundred Abyss Cave Heaven: These are consumed or offered as realm foundations. Their role is cultivation integration, not continuing portable custody. (Chapter 560)
