Uldar's Battleaxe

Uldar's Battleaxe is a divine weapon carried by Cedric during the final campaign against the Ravener. It is distinct from Cedric's morphic weapon and is strong enough to damage the construct that Uldar created.

History

The final campaign

The axe first appears already in Cedric's hands when the Heroes and their allies witness Thameland's night sky unnaturally brightening. Cedric carries it alongside his morphic weapon as the group enters the Ravener's domain, keeping both ready while the expedition advances through the construct's tunnels. In the direct assault, Hart reasons that weapons belonging to the Ravener's creator can withstand its cutting beams and harm its surface. Cedric follows that insight with Uldar's battleaxe, opening another gash in the construct and helping divert its attention from Alex. The corpus names the weapon after Uldar but does not explain when or how Cedric acquired it. (Chapters 842, 864, and 870)

Abilities and properties

  • The battleaxe can cut and visibly damage the Ravener's surface during the final assault. (Chapter 870)
  • Its divine association with Uldar supports Hart's battlefield conclusion that the creator's weapons can endure the Ravener's destructive power. The scene demonstrates the axe striking successfully, but does not define an absolute durability limit. (Chapter 870)
  • Cedric can carry and fight with the axe while also retaining his separate morphic weapon. (Chapters 842 and 864)
  • The supplied corpus does not establish the axe's maker, prior history, enchantment mechanics, or later fate.
