Biography

A Fine Evening and Anxious Morning to The Set Up of Mercantile Schemes

Lagor tests Alex with a dead golem core, probing not only what he knows but what instruments he would use and whether he can recognise the core’s condition. After Alex is hired, Lagor makes him work through real production pressures: rushed orders, ingredient preparation, core construction, and body design. His lesson that a golem’s external form need not imitate a mortal redirects Alex toward function and internal mana structures, becoming part of the foundation on which Claygon is designed. Seven Seasons of Change to When it Rains...

When Claygon returns in an evolved form, Lagor joins the crafters crowding around him and openly marvels at the power and workmanship. That professional enthusiasm is paired with a longer record of advocacy: Toraka Shale later tells Alex that Lagor and Vernia’s repeated praise is a reason she is willing to consider Alex’s ambitious business proposal. Lagor’s judgement therefore has consequences beyond training, helping his former assistant earn greater trust and responsibility within the workshop. (Chapters 431 and 446–461)

The First Customers and The Wells that Dry

Lagor visits the newly reopened Roth Family Bakery with Toraka and the morning shift, explaining that he wanted to see how his assistant’s side business was doing. His delighted response to the food supplies both encouragement and an early customer’s endorsement. The visit shows that their relationship has grown beyond a narrow supervisor-assistant arrangement while remaining rooted in pride in Alex’s work. (Chapter 558)

Appearance and personality

Lagor is a green-skinned orc with a deep, croaking voice. He keeps a controlled expression while evaluating applicants and speaks in direct, practical terms on the workshop floor. Beneath that reserve, he is enthusiastic about extraordinary craft, loyal to capable coworkers, and willing to make his approval known when it can help a junior crafter advance. Magic, abilities, and skills

Lagor is an experienced golem crafter who can evaluate cores, select construction materials, forge intricate components, and supervise assistants through commercial production. He distinguishes exterior sculpture from the mana structures that determine function, and his examples demonstrate that specialised golems can use non-humanoid designs and unusual arrangements of limbs. His expertise also includes quality control and personnel assessment.
