Wanak

Wanak is the owner of Dades Agricultural Company, Morora’s grain monopolist, and a former experimental subject who returned appearing normal because he had become a proxy for Sealed Artifact 0-01. (Chapters 2230–2231 and 2273)

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Morora’s criminals considered Wanak the city’s most dangerous resident. When Lumian Lee first approached Dades Agricultural Company, their Hunter-pathway corruption resonated and Wanak attacked as a blazing flame spear; Lumian withdrew rather than risk confronting a probable pseudo-demigod before his own preparations were complete. (Chapters 2230–2231)

Wanak later contacted Lumian through mirrors and proposed using his ruined company as bait for Albus Medici and Gusain. He coordinated with Lumian and Julie, dispersed the Fog of War with a city-scale hurricane, raised iron-armored dead soldiers, and poured fire and weather attacks into their enemies and the reassembled Abscessed Hand. (Chapters 2246–2250 and 2264–2265)

Julie’s Primordial Demoness divine descent petrified Wanak and collapsed the special mirror world around him. He did not escape with Lumian and Albus; Albus subsequently treated killing Wanak as an accomplished goal, and Lumian understood that without his own protective seal he would have become another Wanak—a body through which Blood Emperor Alista Tudor could return. Appearance and personality

Wanak has hair the color of fresh blood, iron-black eyes, sharp features, and a fierce aura, often wearing a thin white shirt open at the collar despite winter cold. He is aggressive and taunting in their first encounter but capable of patient conspiracy and pragmatic cooperation when removing common rivals. (Chapters 2231 and 2246–2250)

Pathways and abilities

Wanak possesses Hunter-pathway powers augmented by 0-01 to near-demigod status: he transforms into a blazing-white flame spear, summons city-scale hurricanes, creates extremely hot flame spears and fireballs, commands or revives iron-armored undead soldiers, and draws those soldiers and surrounding anomalous flames into a massive attack. The text treats this as 0-01’s proxy power, not a confirmed ordinary Sequence 4 advancement. (Chapters 2231, 2248–2250, and 2264–2265)

Relationships

• 0-01: Wanak submits to the Sealed Artifact and becomes its Morora proxy, gaining abnormal power while serving as a potential vessel for Alista Tudor’s return. (Chapters 2231 and 2273)
• Lumian Lee: Their converging corruption first makes them opponents, then temporary allies in the trap against Albus and Gusain. (Chapters 2231 and 2246–2250)
