Sothoth

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Sothoth Yann was Bilt Brando's assistant and an important Adventurer Association member who returned from the eastern Sonia Sea with news of Gehrman Sparrow's attack on Vice Admiral Ailment. Recognizing that the adventurer they had recently met was the same dangerous figure, Sothoth advised verifying the newspapers and then helped Bilt decide between fleeing Oravi or entrusting Gehrman with their politically sensitive mission (Chapters 618–620)

Sothoth intercepted Gehrman and persuaded him to hear the proposal to impersonate Admiral Amyrius Rieveldt. He retrieved the advance, attended the governor-general's banquet as the identity Gehrman copied, and later confirmed that Amyrius had departed without punishing Bilt. His judgment and field work therefore helped the association survive an obligation it could not fulfill alone (Chapters 620–633)

Appearance and personality

Sothoth is a bronze-skinned man in his thirties with recessed eye sockets, a black mustache, and the weathered look of someone who spends much of his life at sea. He wears a linen shirt, brown jacket, and red headscarf. He is informed, decisive, loyal to Bilt, and capable of earnest persuasion under pressure.

Pathways and abilities

Sothoth is assessed in the narrative as a Sequence 7 or Sequence 6 Beyonder, but neither his exact Sequence nor pathway is confirmed. He can leap safely from an upper floor and land firmly, indicating enhanced physical ability. No distinct supernatural technique is directly demonstrated.
