Snowman

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Snowman was an ancient ascetic swallowed by Groselle’s Travels and incorporated into its adventuring party. He spoke little because his life centered on prayer to the omnipotent and omniscient Creator, yet his companions trusted him completely in battle. Against Ulyssan, he blessed Siatas’s lightning, used holy light to protect the group from freezing, and endured repeated attacks until the party defeated the frost dragon (Chapters 697–702)

Snowman left the book with the survivors, but the centuries spent inside immediately caught up with his body and killed him in a posture of prayer. His memories later helped Klein and Audrey recover limited Third Epoch religious history, while a dream version in Liveseyd remained only a preserved subconscious image. His death was final, and his companions buried him beside Groselle (Chapters 703, 962, 1063–1064, 1122)

Appearance and personality

Snowman is a scarred middle-aged man with short brown hair who wears a spartan white robe exposing his shoulders, arms, calves, and bare feet. He is solemn, intensely devout, nearly silent, and socially remote, but also brave and entirely reliable when companions need protection.

Pathways and abilities

Snowman is a Sequence 5 Priest of Light of the Sun pathway. He can produce purifying holy light, strengthen an ally’s supernatural effect through declarations, warm and cleanse an area, and resist cold through ascetic conditioning. His power remains below demigod level, and Ulyssan can freeze and incapacitate him despite his endurance.
