Biography

Encounters Across Both Eras

Robert was Amandina's fiancé and a young man entangled both romantically and mystically with Padre Cali. He brought Amandina to Twanaku's black tomb, where the Underworld Daoist bestowed death-related powers. During the Dream Festival, desire, dream logic, and Padre Cali's influence placed Robert against Amandina and Lumian's group. His conduct mixed manipulation with genuine entrapment: the power he wanted also made him a usable piece in another person's ritual and emotional control (Chapters 2100–2124).

When the struggle turned against him, Robert chose negotiation over a futile death. He bargained with Lumian for freedom, helped channel a spirit connected to the tomb, and survived the final confrontation. Lumian honored the arrangement and released him; Robert departed alive, though the corpus does not establish a later reconciliation with Amandina or a full recovery from the Dream Festival's influence (Chapters 2128–2130).

Appearance and personality

Robert is a pale young man with brownish-yellow hair and a cold, slightly effeminate appearance. He is secretive, emotionally compromised, and willing to draw Amandina into danger without giving her an honest account. Yet he is not suicidally loyal to Padre Cali: once offered a viable exit, he thinks pragmatically, bargains, and performs the dangerous spirit work needed to secure it (Chapters 2108–2130).

Pathways and abilities

Robert received a boon rather than drinking a potion. Its effects correspond approximately to the Death pathway's Spirit Medium level: he can communicate with spirits, channel them into his body, and borrow their powers. One channeled spirit formed ice armor, a frost scythe, and freezing terrain around him. The ritual required materials such as Full Moon Essence Oil and suitable commands; a hosted spirit could resist leaving, making blood, ritual authority, and control important limits (Chapters 2108–2130).

Relationships

• Amandina: Fiancée whom Robert brought to the tomb, damaging her trust and exposing her to the festival.
