Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Rhea was born among the Paca people near Paz Valley, a tribe renowned for archery. After Loen troops destroyed the tribe, she was captured and sold repeatedly before escaping to Port Pylos. The local Church aided her, and she subsequently became both a devout believer in the Eternal Blazing Sun and a Beyonder serving in the port's patrol force, retaining the bow that connected her to her lost people. (Chapter 2098)

While investigating Tizamo with Camus and Lumian Lee, Rhea recognizes that the Dream Festival has been suppressing the patrol team's emotions and reshaping their behavior. Inside the dream she looses an arrow at the apostate Padre Cali, but Lumian stops the shot and explains that harming the dream's inhabitants will injure their waking selves; Rhea restrains herself once she understands that the locals are victims rather than willing collaborators. Rhea later joins the operation against Hisoka and fights with lightning-bearing arrows. The disparity between the strongest combatants makes continued participation unsafe, and she accepts the group's retreat arrangements instead of pursuing a suicidal confrontation. She survives the Port Pylos crisis and remains associated with the local patrol and relief effort. (Chapters 2123, 2131)

Appearance and personality

Rhea is a wild-looking woman with brown skin and brown hair, a raspy voice, and a fierce beauty. She wears practical leather armor and carries a bow and arrows. Her history has made her guarded and forceful, but not irrational: faith and duty give her a new community, and she can set aside anger when shown that it would harm innocents. Pathways and abilities

Rhea is explicitly a Beyonder, but her pathway and sequence are not established. She is an expert archer able to use Lightning Arrows, combining precision shooting with supernatural electrical force. Relationships

Camus is Rhea's patrol colleague and fellow investigator in Tizamo. Lumian initially frustrates her by blocking her attack, but she accepts his explanation and later fights beside his group. Her strongest enduring loyalties are to the dead Paca tribe whose archery she preserves, the Church that helped her escape exploitation, and the people of Port Pylos whom she now protects. Items
