Reaza

Reaza is the vice-captain of Port Pylos’s patrol team and a covert member of the Numinous Episcopate’s Royal faction, respected by Camus as a stern commander who repeatedly saved his life. (Chapters 2083–2086, 2094, and 2126–2131)

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

After Hisoka’s conspiracy inside the patrol team erupted, Reaza used undead servants to purge compromised members, reviewed the survivors, and tried to capture the escaped conspirator. Despite institutional reluctance, he backed Camus’s investigation of Tizamo and personally came to the town with Maslow when the Dream Festival approached. (Chapters 2083–2102)

Reaza’s arrival also served a Royal-faction mission tied to Death’s possible return. He entered the anomalous Dream Festival lucidly, attempted to reach the ancient tomb, and used summoned undead to maneuver through the danger, but the golden-masked corpse transformed him into masses of bloody warts. The same death resumed after he awoke; Lumian Lee destroyed his head to end the transformation, and the patrol team later recovered his Beyonder characteristic. (Chapters 2117–2131)

Appearance and personality

Reaza is a pale, middle-aged man of mixed Intisian and West Balam heritage who wears a sleek, thin black suit. He is terse, calm, stern, and procedurally cautious, yet his record of rescuing Camus and supporting the isolated patrol shows personal courage beneath that reserve. (Chapters 2083, 2094, and 2102)

Pathways and abilities

Reaza is a Death-pathway Beyonder who controls undead creatures, can summon an undead covering around himself, and uses it to shift position. The supplied chapters do not state his exact Sequence, so his demonstrated abilities should not be assigned a more precise rank. (Chapters 2083 and 2125)

Relationships

  • Camus: Reaza saved him three times in five years, commanded his work, and retained Camus’s respect even after his hidden allegiance emerged. (Chapters 2094 and 2131)
  • Maslow: His fellow Royal-faction operative, who accompanies him to Tizamo and dies in the same Dream Festival. (Chapters 2102 and 2126)
  • Admiral Querarill: Querarill knew of Reaza’s Royal-faction identity and secretly cooperated with that mission. (Chapters 2126 and 2131)

Items

Reaza carried a death-corroded golden mask and a crystal-like skull in the Dream Festival, but neither returned with his body to waking reality. No persistent personal mystical item is recovered from him. (Chapter 2126)
