Professor

Professor is a female transmigrator, a senior Warlock of the Research Society’s Academy group, and an organizer of its Trier mysticism gatherings. (Chapters 1808–1810 and 2245)

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Professor participated in the Research Society’s investigation and post-April Fool purge, then helped the Academy group compare dangerous mystical experiences and examine suspected Mirror People. As the Hidden Sage’s forced knowledge infusions became increasingly erratic, she organized a focused gathering and openly explained that the affected Mystery Pryers and Savants could no longer escape their predicament alone. (Chapters 1810, 1844, 2187, and 2245–2254)

When Franca offered an operation against the Hidden Sage, Professor consulted her husband and fellow Warlocks, trusted Franca without demanding a notarized contract, and insisted on going in place of her lower-Sequence spouse. She, Periodic Table, and Prototype then served as mediums through whom the Celestial Master located the Hidden Sage, helping make the divine operation possible. (Chapters 2495–2499 and 2511)

After the Hidden Sage and Moses Ascetic Order fell, Professor initially refused payment because freedom from indoctrination was reward enough. She nevertheless accepted the sealed Sequence 4 Mysticologist characteristic, formula, and ritual materials, along with the responsibility to protect and support the other Warlocks if she advanced. Appearance and personality

Professor wears a black butterfly mask, white shirt with bow tie, and long dark coat at gatherings. She is cautious, collaborative, family-minded, and protective: she worries about children at home, volunteers for danger because her condition is better than her husband’s, and treats liberation from the Hidden Sage as more valuable than spoils. Pathways and abilities

Professor is a Mystery Pryer-pathway Warlock and explicitly higher in Sequence than her husband. The reward prepared for her is a Sequence 4 Mysticologist characteristic, while Franca says this would make her a demigod, establishing Professor’s current level as Sequence 5 Constellations Master; her displayed function in the final operation is chiefly as a mystical medium rather than a combatant. Relationships

• Associate Professor: Her husband and fellow Warlock; they argue over which spouse should undertake the dangerous operation, with Professor prevailing because she is stronger. (Chapters 2495–2496)
