Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Count Poufer Sauron is a wealthy heir of Intis's former royal family, a literary critic, and the owner of Red Swan Castle. He hosts the King's Pie custom and performs family rites directed toward his ancestor Vermonda Sauron. Because his blood closely matches Vermonda's, Poufer's presence repeatedly bypasses protections and exposes guests to corruption and nightmares, although he appears to possess little independent supernatural strength. Poufer invites Lumian Lee into his salons and later leads guests into Red Swan Castle's underground spaces under the guise of a game. He knows the family tradition is dangerous: successors enter after receiving the first piece of King's Pie and use prepared hearts to maintain a failing seal. His choices reflect a lifetime shaped by inherited duty, social performance, and the fear that Vermonda's curse will consume the Saurons. (Chapters 1855, 1864)

When Project Vortex disturbs Vermonda, Poufer is summoned below. He willingly enters the breach around the bronze coffin, regarding it as an honor, a family mission, and perhaps the only way to end the curse, even though he expects death or merger with his ancestor. Appearance and personality

Poufer is middle-aged, fair-skinned, and carefully made up, with fiery dark-red hair, brown-red eyes, and dark circles beneath them. He favors velvet and open, stylish coats. He is refined, theatrical, socially confident, and genuinely interested in literature, but his charm coexists with secrecy about lethal family rites. No pathway or potion sequence is established for Poufer. His exceptional effects derive from Sauron blood and its resonance with Vermonda: his presence can satisfy or bypass ritual conditions and draw ancestral corruption closer. Vermonda Sauron is Poufer's ancestor and the center of the curse, rites, and duty governing his life. Elros is another Sauron heir entangled in the castle's secrets.
