Oz Kent
Biography
Life in Klein's Era
Oz Kent acted as a covert military contact in Bayam and was introduced to Gehrman Sparrow by Elland. He tried to recruit the new adventurer as an informant and warned him against confronting pirates, only to discover that Gehrman regarded dangerous pirates primarily as bounties. When Gehrman immediately killed Wormtongue Mithor in the same bar, Oz became responsible for handling the corpse and official reward (Chapters 598–604)
Oz paid Gehrman the full bounty without taking the customary intermediary cut and established telegram contact for future intelligence. After Gehrman later killed Admiral of Blood, Oz and Elland endured two days of separate interrogation because of their connection to him. They were released without blame, though Oz was left hoping the terrifying adventurer would not return to the sea (Chapters 604–737)
Appearance and personality
Oz is a common-faced man in his thirties with brown hair and eyes, a high nose bridge, and Loen ancestry. He often poses as tipsy or drunk, later developing a red brandy nose. Beneath the disguise he is sharp, procedural, pragmatic, and increasingly frightened by Gehrman's strength.
Pathways and abilities
The corpus does not confirm Oz's pathway or Sequence. He can instantly drop a drunken facade and is trusted with covert military funds and contacts, but he is overwhelmed by Dragon's Might during Gehrman's bar fight. His established strengths are intelligence handling, concealment, and navigating military reward procedures.
