Osta Trul

Osta Trul is a debt-ridden Trier mystic who styles himself as an ancient warlock while selling dubious services near the catacombs. Beneath the performance, he is genuinely a Sequence 9 Secrets Suppliant with practical ritual knowledge but little combat strength. (Chapters 1547–1549)

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Osta tried to sell Lumian Lee access to the supposed Samaritan Women’s Spring for 100 verl d’or. Lumian exposed the con, learned that Osta had borrowed heavily to buy potion ingredients, and instead paid him to secure entry to Mr. K’s mysticism gathering; this made Osta a recurring guide, broker, and information source under pressure from both Lumian and Baron Brignais. (Chapters 1547–1555 and 1570–1571)

Eager for money yet not entirely faithless, Osta procured ritual ingredients, investigated aquatic monsters, and even followed Lumian underground in hopes of salvaging valuable remains. By his latest appearance he had found apparently safe honorific names within his potion knowledge, profited enough to settle his debt, and remained an active Secrets Suppliant in Trier. Appearance and personality

Osta is a gaunt man between roughly thirty and forty, with dark-brown eyes, a prominent nose, and a flaxen beard. His hooded black robe and deliberately magnetic voice support his warlock act; he is timid, acquisitive, and quick to bargain, yet he shows a limited conscience by discounting Lumian’s procurement fee and refusing outright murder. Pathways and abilities

As a Sequence 9 Secrets Suppliant, Osta has heightened spiritual perception, stronger-than-average divination, sacrificial knowledge, and ritual magic. He lacks meaningful direct combat power and initially refuses to pray to the dangerous concealed entities encoded in his potion knowledge, although he later reports discovering honorific names he can use without apparent danger. • Lumian Lee: Lumian turns an attempted fraud into a working arrangement, repeatedly hiring Osta as an introducer, guide, and supplier. (Chapters 1549–1592)
