Biography

Encounters Across Both Eras

Nina served as boatswain and assistant navigator aboard the Future. During the crew's investigation of dangerous waters, she volunteered to dive, returned with physical samples, and reported what she could observe without pretending to understand the ancient ruins. When mutations spread across the ship, she organized sailors, challenged Frank Lee's unsafe impulses, and helped maintain the crew's ability to escape (Chapters 640–673)

She chose the pirate's life over marriage and settlement, accepting its danger as the future she wanted. Cattleya repeatedly trusted her to supervise the deck and, with the rest of the crew, restrain Frank's experiments. More than a decade later Nina was still aboard the Future, alive among Cattleya's senior crew as the apocalypse approached (Chapters 721–754, 1073, 1186–1240, 1309, 2595)

Appearance and personality

Nina is more than 1.8 meters tall, with blond hair tied in a high ponytail, fair skin, dull-colored eyes, and strong Feysac features. She has a striking, powerful figure and wears a tight black fish-skin suit when diving. She is blunt, easily irritated, fond of strong alcohol, experienced, reliable, and unwilling to exchange the sea for a conventional domestic life (Chapters 640–649)

Pathways and abilities

Nina is a Sequence 7 Seafarer of the Tyrant pathway. She has enhanced strength, balance, swimming, underwater endurance, navigation, resistance to marine conditions, and the physical adaptations needed for deep dives. Her strength exceeds Klein's at the corresponding stage, but she remains vulnerable to mental corruption and required sedation after the ancient dream influence (Chapters 640–657)
